Question Spore™ Galactic Edition

How long do think you it will be on the shelves until it goes out?

I dunno. I'm thinking about getting it myself actually. Curious about what's in the art book etc but the rest is just fluff as far as I'm concerned. I bet I can get the art book off eBay anyway. That's how I first got the Burning Crusade soundtrack and making-of that came with the collectors edition.

No doubt some enterprising Ebayer will buy up tons of it, but unless they're numbered I think it will be printed as long as it's profitable. The movie kind of interested me except for it being made by National Geographic. I guess if it was PBS like Nova I'd be pretty interesting for the scientist in me. Pretty much there's nothing in game useful in it, nor ground breaking, so unless you're an aspiring game designer I doubt you'll really want it.

Eh? The system requirements are pretty low.

* 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
* 512 MB RAM
* A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
* At least 6 GB of hard drive space

I decided to pre-order. Sure, I'd be completely happy with the regular version, but the extra 15 dollars for the fancy stuff didn't seem quite large enough to be a waste of money.

I just got the normal edition. The extra stuff in the Galactic Edition doesn't really interest me, and doesn't really seem worth the extra money. The normal edition is fine with me.

I'll be shelling out extra money for expansions soon enough I'm sure anyway. I'm cool on getting the extra stuff that would take away from my time playing the game.
