What Evolutionary Stage are you most looking forward to?

Personally, I am most looking forward to the Tribal and Space phases. Having a tribe of creatures sounds like great fun, especially when you can interract with other tribes and hunt them down! The Space phase is obviously just plain awesome - who doesn't want to blast enemy planets to bits with your own Death Star!?

It's a mix between Civilization and Space. Civilization 'cause then I'll be able to create my own units. Space because then I'll be able to put to the test that every planet is never the same.

They all are great, for different reasons.

Cell because it looks like simple fun.
Creature because of the atmosphere, they have done wonders with the lighting. And of course the crazy creatures, and their interactions.
Tribal for the heroic stories that will surely come naturally in that stage.
Civ because you really need to start thinking what you want for the rest of the game (from what I've heard, Space is going to be hard those gameplay related bonuses might be really helpful at that stage)
Space for its sheer endlessness.

Pushed to choose one, I'd have to say Space.

Oh God... Only 12 days to go in Europe now! Just got a shedload of coursework to be done by then, but after it's just plain-sailing!

A whole weekend of Spore to myself!

Slightly off-topic, but I can't wait!!!

Space.

Something about destroying primitive cultures sounds fun to me...

Tribe phase sounds like it has the most potential, and I think there you get to design clothing and tools (or eventually you will, I suspect) on top of playing with your creatures.

Civ phase because of course you design almost everything.

Space just for kicks, but I think it will play more like a cross between Star Trek:TOS and Populous then 4X in space, so I may not enjoy it as much.

The cellular phase doesn't seem to popular. The reviews seem to say that the cell phase is the most fun, because it is so simple but addictive!

Very hard choice, as I'm looking foward to them all, but I'd have to say space and tribal. They just seem coolest.

I know! It's criminal that you Europeans get it sooner than North America! But then again most of the development supposedly took place in Europe so it's only fair that you guys get it first.

And 99% of games are released in NA before here in Europe! It's about time we got something before you!

If it makes you happy, on the Friday I shall post my experiances with the game so far, and tell you if it's lived up to the hype. (which it will have)

I end my post with humility and you rub my face in the dirt! You'll get yours! I'll destroy your planet with my Imperial Corvids!

Oh no... help me...

But seriously, I simply cannot wait to explore the galaxy! Is it true that earth is in the game? You just have to find it? That would be very difficult indeed.

It was in, at least according to a Will Wright presentation a while ago. It had all the planets and Mr Wright tried terraforming Mars. It was a year ago though but I don't think they would have taken it out. Take a look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQFDl...eature=related

Tribal, really. Cell/Creature might be too RPG-like for my tastes, and space might be too big.

Cell looks like a lot of fun. I had a good time with that game that was supposed to be just like the cell phase someone posted a while back. Wave or something. But who isn't going to like space? Sooooo big, and starting fights will be a lot of fun.

I found some fantastic E3 videos which you might not have seen. These might help you make your decision.

Creature Stage
Tribal Stage
Civilization Stage
Space Stage

Sorry, no Cell Stage I'm afraid.

those are cool. I haven't seen it, but it would be kind of cool if sometimes if there were civs ahead of you. Like how you can pick on creatures while you are in the tribal phase there would be other tribes doing the same to you in creature phase.

I have been wondering the same thing. Will you see other creatures roaming about during the Civilization Phase? Will tribes be seen on other planets in the Space Phase?
