Has anyone found a particular evolutionary path to have really good benefits? I know I can just read them, but there is nothign like hands on experience to know what is really the best. I'm sure there is no best way to go, but just curious to see what people like.
On another note, is there any way to get your cell to start out omnivore? I have an omnivore all the way in space phase but the option is still not appearing.

No, you can't start with an omnivore mouth. You need to get it from that fat green jet propelled thing on about level 5 of the cell phase.

But you can superimpose the herbivore and carnivore mouths in cell phase. It's just more expensive. It's a good strategy if you're aiming for the omnivore trait. Though starting herbivore and switching to carnivore seems to work to gaining omnivore as well.
A strategy I was trying for was to go carnivore in Cell phase and then middle ground (omnivore/industrious IIRC) in Creatures phase. A catch seems that you have to keep the Cell phase's omnivore mouth, since the only evolutionary mouths that you can get in Creatures are carnivore ones (which sucks because I want good singing and omnivorousness). It seems what you trait you ended in Cell phase determines what mouths you can get in carnivore phase, not what mouth you put on your cell in its final generation before creature phase (I put the omniovre jet mouth on at the last generation, but ran the cell as a carnivore. The only mouth options in creatures have been carnivore mouths).
