Internet Explorer 8
At present beta 2 is out. Whilst it's mostly ok with CFC there are still some problems that require IE 7 compatibility mode to be switched on. Is CFC likely to be updated to work nicely with IE8?

A better question might be: will IE8 get closer to established standards, so we don't have to go to the trouble of coding around it?

What kind of problems, do you know? JavaScript or CSS?
I haven't downloaded IE 8 yet... It still feels like yesterday IE7 came out.... same for FireFox 2.

I whole heartily vote to write the site to standards, and if your browser doesn't display it properly, get a better browser.
And remember, never expect beta software to work right. If you find a problem, the best thing to do is report it to the developers of the software. That's the reason for releasing betas in the first place.

I know for a fact that the IE8 beta messes up the quick reply box.

There's a problem with not all of the text in a post appearing so I put the browser into IE7 compatibility mode. However investigating further it looks as though this is a bug in the beta which has been reported. Hopefully this means this will be resolved by the full release.
