The Corvid Nation

Beginnings 1:1

In the beginning, all there was were the 5 Divines. The 5 Divines ruled the empty voids of the heavens with a benevolent hand but grew tired and bored of the emptiness. Thus one of the Divines, Danielle, created the Corvid.

Gather 'round, children, and listen to the story of how our people came to be. Long ago the Divines created our people. Danielle, one of the Divines, was the deity that personally created the first Corvid, Alan and Eva. The other Divines, David, Sarah, Brian and Gregory, approved of our people and all was well in the heavens. The Divines allowed for Alan and Eva to wander the heavens at their leisure and explore all the wonders.

However, one of the Divines, Gregory, grew jealous of the Corvid and tempted Alan and Eva to touch the Holy Rod of Knowledge. Eva was afraid to do so but Alan touched the Rod. At that moment the bright lights of the heavens erupted into a dark, red and firey sky, clouds rolling closer to the ground than before.

The other 4 Divines, not suspecting Gregory's trickery, wanted to banish Alan and Eva into the dark void of the Nethervoid. However Danielle took pity upon her creations and convinced the other divines to spare the Corvids. Alan and Eva couldn't be allowed to remain in heaven nor would they be hurled into the Nethervoid.

The Divines instead banished them onto the earth, plundging them into the ocean to try and cleanse them from the sin they committed.

Before they were banished, Danielle made every effort to make the earth as close to the heavens as she could, but punished the Corvid with mortality for their transgression against the Divines.

The earth provided an ample home for Alan and Eva. Soon they built a home and grew fruitful.

The bushes and trees provided a plentiful bounty for the Corvid to nourish themselves and grow strong in body and soul.

The Divines also granted the Corvid dominion over all the beasts of the land and creatures of the sea.

The Children of Alan and Eva soon began to harness the natural forces to try and return to the heavens. However their efforts were futile as the Divines made the air thin whenever any of the Corvid children would try to break the bonds of earth.

However the Divines placed the 3 Guardians to watch over the Corvid dominion.

Athens.

Tacoma.

And Dijob.

The Book of Domiel 3:10

And the blessed mother Danielle said unto the prophet Domiel on the mountain top, "Go, Domiel. Take our people away from this land. Bring them to a land flowing with fruit and sun. Where my blessed people may grow great and prosperous in my name."

However, children, the path was long and hard and many dangers would seek to undo Holy Mother Danielle's pact with her people as they travelled across the plains of Tar'kress. And so Domiel was given numerous commandments and allowances for his people to abide by during their travel.

Such as "Do not eat of the flesh of the animals; for it is an abomination to the Blessed Mother's eyes."

And "Destroy the Tar'kressites. Lay waste to their homes and slaughter their children. For this land is promised to you and only you."

"Disobey my words, and I shall punish your people further for their sins."

Our people travelled the plains for many years and some grew disgruntled and started to lose their faith. Until one day when the prophet Domiel went to do his daily prayers, the Holy Mother guided him to an alter placed by the 5 Divines to help our people along the way.

It was said that the ground around the alter was charred black and felt hot even in the cold season.

The Holy Mother spoke into Domiel, "Take the golden tablet from the alter and bring it to our people as a reminder that I have not forgotten our pact."

For 10 more years, the Corvid travelled, taking with them their cattle and the golden tablet.

We had arrived at our new home but there was worry that this wasn't the promised land. But the avatar of Dijob descended from the heavens and blessed the land.

And so that's how our tribe came to this land.

Now go to sleep, children! The harvest is tomorrow and we need to be bright and early!

The Book of Kaida 18:5

Kaida kneeled before the Prophet Domiel and blessed the next leader of the Corvid people and servent of the 5 Divines.

For a while, our early ancestors lived peacefully and reaped the bounty of the earth, obeying the Divine's laws.

However the Corvid discovered that they were surrounded by barbaric...

...evil...

...abominations!

Our ancestors tried desperatly to make peace with these monstrous spawns of the Divine Gregory and spread the word of the Divine Danielle. But our holy words fell on deaf ears as they sought to destroy our people and our faith.

So with a heavy heart, he did the only thing we could do...

Eradicate them all.

We knew these poor creature's desperately wanted to be like us, but the Divine Gregory had made their minds wild and mad. There was no other choice but to put them out of their miseries.

With the threatening tribes destroyed, peace reigned among the Corvid tribe and the harvest was plentiful.

However to maintain our superiority, we needed another tribes technology. A tribe had the ability to make axe weapons and considering our earlier experience with the other tribes, we couldn't take any chances.

And so we retained our superiority over the earth.

All was good. Our people grew stronger and greater as we cleansed our lands of these sickening abominations.

All the while, Prophet Domiel (Glory to his name) would use the time between battles to watch over and teach the children of the tribe, imparting the wisdom of his heart and the Divines to future generations.

One day, our faith and resolve would be put to the ultimate test. A scout from a far away tribe intruded into our land.

It wasn't long until a full army of abominations laid seige to our tribe! All seemed lost until...

The Avatar of Athens descended from the heavens! It was a sign from the divines that they would not abandon us! Soon we won the battle! Not only did the Avatar of Athens bless us with victory, it was a sign to go to war with this distant tribe and spill their heathen blood upon the ground!

The Prophet Domiel (Glory to his name) assembled his army in preperation. The voice of the Divine Danielle echoed into the Prophet! "Lead your army to quash these heathens that befoul the land I have blessed you with! The ground cries out and thirsts for their wicked blood and the creatures hunger for their flesh! Slay them all in my name! Slay them all in the name of the 5 Divines! I shall send the Avatar of Athens to lead your people to victory once more!"

And so it came to pass that the Avatar of Athens blessed the Corvid with the greatest victory and securing our futures on these lands! The battle was grueling and many martyrs were made that day.

All the while, the Prophet Domiel (Glory to his name) was watching a potential successor. He was growing old and soon the Divine Sarah would ascend his soul to the heavens.

Thus His Holiness, Emperor Kaida I was anointed by the Prophet to lead our people into a glorious future. The result of his most holy of blood lines has lead to our current glorious emperor, Emperor Kaida IIV.
