What is the worst stage of the game?

What is the worst stage/phase of Spore, in your opinion?

Mine is Tribal: Too tedious and too mind-numbingly simple. Most of the options have limited utility and are nearly cosmetic. It's mostly just about food management---food for peace and people.

Civilization. Not deep enough, the AI is shambles and it can be over in a matter of minutes depending on which path you took earlier in the game.

Is there a thread that I can post that isn't directed at spore-hate?

The stage that I least like is tribal..It's not the gameplay or the mechanics, It's the feel

Tribal. Pure gameplay crap, regardless of what Genv says.

I enjoy the tribal stage. Not as much as the cell or creature stage, but I like it. Its your last chance to really see your creations in action... like watching my creatures actually use that grasping hand I put on the end of their tail to hold their food basket, while other limbs actually do the foraging.

Really, I enjoy it. I know you can't really lose, but I prefer it to space or civ. The latter is my least favourite, due to the overall wierdness/discontinuity factor, and tendency for militarist powers to take over the world and force you into total war every time (although I must say, in my last game of civ, I actually able to use a combination of economy, religion, military and diplomacy to win).

More like 0.00000001%.

Is it too late to change my answer?

I choose Tribal... no depth at all.
Not enough variety. You can only do two things. Fight or ally.
Looks like EA crapped up again.

Cell is more better because of the balanced ecosystem. It's hunt or be hunted there, even at the higher level of the cell stage.

BTW: Space stage is a close second. A VERY CLOSE SECOND.

Civilization stage. It has the least amount of depth.

Why don't you like creature? I voted tribal, but I don't mind it much.

I agree completely. I had too high expectations going into Spore, and this is the phase which disappointed me the most. Tribal comes a close second. I could tolerate civilization if diplomacy actually meant something. I've found the most fun to be had is fighting the giant creatures. See how many planes/tanks it takes to take one down. Speaking of which, it's almost always fun to see if you can bring one of the giants down in any phase, all the way up to space.
