I've killed all of the REF including all ships but the game will not end. It goes to turn 300 and gives a European Victory to the King of Holland (I was playing as Holland).
My Rebel sentiment is only 75% even though all of my cities are at 100% rebel - i don't need to be at 100% do I? I've attached a save after killing the final enemy ship. any help would be appreciated - there is no point in me playing another game if I don't know if the game will let me win

Same thing happened to me...i dont get it. The pedia also says that the winner after 300 turns wins...i was #1 (higher than the king of england) and he still won.
The ONLY thing i can think of is that maybe he captures an indian village and got loot and then ran into the jungle with it. Does loot count as a a REF unit? Am i missing something here?? |

I had a similar problem; my experience is that usually the king has one unit in the middle of nowhere.
I think the AI is programmed to do this as a strategy sometimes (works OK if the continent is thin, and they land on west coast and sneak up on your poorly defended inland cities). But I think the AI screws up and does this badly sometimes. (Lands the troops too far away and never advances them). |
