I'm fairly new here, so this may qualify as a newb question, but here goes: I like to customize and rename different civs, but I'm still stuck with the original portrait when I play the game. (For example, I changed the name of America to Mercia, and named the leader of my "new" civ Queen Rheadreal, yet was stuck with ugly ol Abe for her pertrait!) Is there any way to change or add portraits for custom Civs?

you can download some in the Graphics Modpacks form
there is a thread entitled Leaderhead Library which contains some new Leader heads to get the game to use new Leader heads graphics put any Leader head and win/lose and diplomatic advisor graphics in the art\leaderheads\ folders then put any the Civilopedia graphics in the art\civilopedia\icons\races\ folders and any PediaIcons.txt entries that might be needed then in the editor pick the civ you want then in the animations section put the location of the appropriate animations for each era. you may need to change the Civilopedia entry or diplomatic advisor and win/lose screen graphics will look like whatever civ's graphics the Civilopedia entry was for. the animations for the screen where you talk to the civ's leader is not effected by Civilopedia entry in the editor it is effected by the animations section entries so if you just have the Leader head animations just use the Civilopedia entry of one of the built in civs or the game might crash |
