Question SDI Surface to Air Animation - Is it ever used?

I have never seen this animation used in the game, yet it came with Vanilla in the SDI folder.

Could any one tell me how to get it the game to shoot down Nukes instead of the satellite shooting them down.

I can't figure out how the explosion would be used with this animation, that doesn't have an explosion at the end.

Is the explosion a separate animation or is this an incomplete animation.

Goldfool... You can substitute the "Default.flc" used in the SDI folder for the "Laser.flc" in the .ini of the SDI Folder to use that animation rather than the Laser.flc

The Problem is that you would also have to change the ICBM Attack and Death Flcs so the ICBM would be at the same Vertical Height as the little missiles are at the end of their animation....this is so the missiles would appear to Hit the ICBM. As they are, they are much higher. The ICBM is at its highest point in the Attack Flc Frame due to its Flames so probably it would be best to change the "Default.flc" so the little missiles Hit the ICBM where it is. This could be changed to show the little Missiles Blasting off at different angles such as blasting off more Horizontally, then Loop/Curve back down into the Point where the ICBM will be located when it is Destroyed...just to have the little missile animation show with more action. Other wise the Little Missiles would not blast off very far at all to hit the ICBM that shows its Destruction taking place just above the Cities.

You would also need to make a sound for the Missiles.
To accomplish all of this is Not terribly difficult, just things to work out

The Explosion for the ICBM is a separete animation that is used when the ICBM is destroyed.

I'll use the cruisemissileattack.wav for the sound. I'll test and see how it works.
