Question???
When does the game start (the year), and when does it end?
I want to know that because as soon i by Colonization i could mabye mace a Norwegian Empire, who was on it's greatest extent at 1263.

300 turns. turn 200 is around 1700. The game is kinda based on United States independence timewise.

The standard game starts in1492 AD and finishes 300 years later, if you haven't already won.

No, you're not. You can modify all the calendar settings in, I believe, GlobalDefines.xml. You can also make your own map, units, buildings, etc. Look in the main Civ4 creation and customization forum for the basics of how to do this; they generally apply to Col as well.

Do not say that, it's only because my Mozilla wont let me write wrong words as a red line appears under each word who is spelled wrong.
Like tis <---  (You cant see the red line, but I can see it every time i press the edit button...)And don't say that, cause i bet you know more Norwegian than you ever know... Here are some simple words: Juice - Juice Hello - Hei Man - Mann Women - Kvinne Boy - Gutt Girl - Jente Bear - Bjørn No i think you know more Norwegian than the most of the people on this forum.
