Congrats! What an epic victory for that warrior!

You guys really need to give that fellow a proper name.

Nothing has changed so I just ended the turn. Mining is ready next turn and Bronze Working will be researched after that. We probably should wait until Warrior is fully healed before moving?

I didn't remember to rename our Warrior, but I'll change it soon to Orion the hunter. We should probably consider naming all of our units to make them easier to distinguish from each other. For normal units we could use names of stars and if they manage to do something extraordinary we could give them more meaningful charateristics like "the hunter". What do you think?

Workers could be named according to our team members. I found this idea from the previous civ4 demo game. Would it be ok if the naming is done in the order of registration so the first ones would be Joshua368, pauluslupus and NeverSurrender.

I did take a look at demographics window. I was little suprised that 1 team has production 14. Does anybody know, if this is pure hammers or is there possibly some modifiers that would increase the number of hammers e.g. when bulding Stonehenge with Stone?

The demographics certainly are interesting... and we seem to be near the bottom of the pack. I don't think it means very much at this point in the game though, things like GNP/production will vary greatly depending on what exactly the city is trying to do.

Also interesting is the Top 5 Cities screen, which in this game ammounts to all five capitals. Apparently only one team waited a turn to found their first city, and their city is currently size 5(!!), other civ is size 4, another size 3 with us, and the last civ has a size 2 city.

I don't know about naming every unit (it'd get tedious pretty fast, and there's no real need to keep track of most of them separately, promotions help signify their jobs) but we can name workers after teammates or something silly like that. Should probably skip teammates who've never posted though.

Also, our warrior's about to come? What's the plan with him? Personally I think its obvious he should head towards the horses to scout it out for the settler, but I think he should take a roughly SW-then-SE route to lift some fog on the way there.

I agree warrior should be moving towards horses, but before that he should first go to SW to reveal some tiles before going to south. First steps could be SW-SW-SW.

I agree but perhaps take each SW move one at time.

About naming i think it is good idea to name our workers, but name all of our units could be boring, so i guees we should name only units with some achivments or with some special purpose (medic, pilager etc..)

Yes, one at a time. However, I would only consider other actions, if some animals would come visible.

I agree about naming our workers (after posters), but it is fun to catorgise units and name them.

Those with special achievements, though deserve special recognition..

Do you agree that after this warrior we should made 3rd warrior ready and raise Saturns population to 5 and then start producing either worker or settler?

I reconsidered this. I think that it might be better to send 2nd warrior to check the shoreline in the east before it continues to south.

In my opinion both of these warriors should be supporting our 1st settler to make it certain it stays alive. Therefore 1st warrior could check the tiles SW from Saturn before going south to check tiles close to horses and 2nd warrior could do something else i.e. go to east before it is needed in support duty.

Wow, a lot seems to have happened in my absence.

Impressive news with the Warrior - we actually got lucky for once, which makes a nice change! I might have been more inclined towards the Woodsman promotion line (since it's handy for exploring when you get 2 movement points every turn or two), but going down the Combat line is fine too. It'll be good to have some extra firepower with all these animals around anyway.

With regards to names, I'd definitely rename our victorious Warrior on our next turn. Orion the Hunter seems like an appropriate title to me. Naming Workers after team members seems fine too, although I agree with Joshua that we should only use the names of members that are actually active.

With regards to Saturn's build choices in the near future, I definitely think that we should build more Warriors until we get to size 5. Getting the city up to size 5 is certainly a top priority, even if we weren't going for the Oracle (which we are). Especially since one other team already has a size 5 capital! We need to catch up.

Hold on I thought we were going to begin building the settler as soon as we hit size 4? Get that guy out nice and quick... after the clams, sheep, and two cottages, there won't really be a good fifth tile to work until after a hill is chopped and mined.

If we start settler right away, we get it 2 turns before than taking warrior first. However this doesn't delay hooking up horses at all, because we want to mine the riverside hill before sending worker to the horse city. Furthermore our city is right away ready to use the mined tile and there is no couple of turns delay to wait pop5. However in plans for turns 40-70 thread it has been suggested that warrior+worker is produced before settler to get earlier Oracle.

Okay, grow to size 5 then. Maybe the second worker can come right after the settler?

At any rate here in the screenshot now in WIIIIDESCREEEEEN (hooray)

Orion still has one more turn to heal. Our new warrior is out and we need to decide where precisely to move him next turn. 1SW or 1E?

when are we going to scout slightly further south of the horses?
otherwise I think it is important to explore the fog very close to our capital

I'm repeating myself, but my favorite production line is finish the warrior - 2nd worker - settler - worker. I also would send the 2nd warrior first to east and then to hills south from flood plains so that it is there at the time our settler will be there. Orion the Hunter could make very small peek to SE and then reveal the tiles SW from the Saturn and after that head to horse city and reveal some additional tiles there. It should be in the horse city site, when settler is there.
