First reply (although not first to vote). They are all obviously very good (otherwise they wouldn't have won the maker of the month competition ). Looks like Sandris has a small early lead...

I voted for Plotinus, that cape animation is insanely difficult to make, and he did a superb job..

They're all excellent entries, but my favourite this year has been "The Drunk"

The Drunk for me too. And not only because I made sounds for him. This unit is just hilarious and very well done. And I never could guess someone would make a drunk man as a unit, vomiting and throwing bottles
I would have voted for Plotinus' Hobbit if the Drunk wasn't there. The cape's animation keeps fascinating me...

Thanks Gary Childress! And all others who have voted Orthanc.

I voted Plotinus' Hobbit, the cape is epic. I too almost voted for the Drunk, the movements are excellent.

Micaelus and the Serbian Horseman for me, his outstanding animations are really top-notch and having three attacks adds lots of variety. But of course this is a truly difficult competition.

Exciting stuff! Were there really no units in July?

I noticed that the link to my unit thread in the OP is broken, so I corrected it. I'd like to make it clear that this is the only change I made, and I did not replace all the other entries' animations with inferior versions in a feeble attempt to influence the outcome of the vote. I would never do that!

Difficult to choose between the Drunk, Hobbit or Esperling. In the end I voted for the Drunk.

Many Great Units this Year and Yes Plotinus, This is Exciting Stuff.
I am not sure if I should be pleased with the number of votes for The Drunk because after all, it IS soon after the New Year Celebration and people can probably relate to him too much
...Seriously, I am happy to be included with all of you Unit Makers in this contest and appreciate all of you here at Civfanatics.
