They can see the techs of Kaz or Cav, but can't ours.

I think instead of disheveled (clothes/appearance in disarray) you meant disheartened (is that the right spelling?), but it's fine either way. Actually funnier the way it is...

I'll send messages to both in the future... the letter from SANCTA was sent from General_W private email, so that's where our response went when I clicked 'reply'.

I think this is turning out good for us right now...
As I suspected earlier, they noticed the alliance between Kaz and Cav but not that we are fully involved in it... I think we should agree to the proposed peace-treaty and ask for their ideas concerning an alliance (as they brought the idea up). It could be interesting to know about their ideas... We can be the "spy" in our actual alliance with the best relations to SAN. (Further: We should also keep in mind, that one team in a triple alliance is always the ne too much in the long run... Kaz and Cav seem to have the much better (and longer) relations to eachother, which might end up in them turning against us at aproper time in the (far) future. Concerning the lay of the lands and the empires SAN would be a much better allied team for us strategically. (I'm not proposing changing our diplomatic course, but we should be aware of the geostrategical situation...)) |

It's nice they 've sailing in near future, should we slow down our research, then we get some
for free?We can't make a long unterstanding-treaty with them, but a NAP/peace til 1 AD is good, or is this in opposition to our ally-pact? |

I don't think it's a problem to sign a peace treaty.
But we would need the ok of our allies to do any trade with SANCTA... ... slowing down our sailing research might be a good idea, but we should discuss this in the turn-discussion. |

no, it's not a problem to sign a peace treaty. But any trades need to be approved by the other members.
This is, as topas said, going really well for us. Let's see how long we can keep our alliance secret!... I suggest we sign the treaty as-is. Any objections? Also, we'll need to develop a Seal. I'll see if I can come up with something.....

General_W wrote to me requesting a chat session. If anyone would like to come along, please do!
it's going to be on gmail. My contact is peter dot smith dot grimes. Things to keep in mind: - Dodge questions about our relationship with CAV. - Confirm that we have not met KAZ. - Do give up some map info, as long as we get some in return. They have already been very open with us. - Discuss the possibility of tech trades, without committing to anything I still haven't come up with any ideas for the seal - work just keep being a lot more busy than I prefer

I'm confused -- wouldn't Metho's messages go in the cav thread?
in-game from 1889 of SANCTA OK cool. As you can see my team is a little nervous...a little overkill on the axemen i think. but the barbs are crazy so glad we have them! FYI CAv & Kaz seem to be tech exploiting. G_W will talk to you guys mroe about it, but we may want to look at tech exclusivity and get saturn involved. Tried to Reply: Message received... btw it can be risky to use the in-game screen for diplomacy as the message may disappear without being seen by the other team. -- don't know if it took...

The in-game mesage is good for moving details, (warrior at 36 or our worker has no defence, please 1 tile from him), any treaty offers shouldn't post there.

General_W just sent me an email (privately). He states clearly that this is not an official statement from his team, but it's worth noting that he lays out SANCTA's position none-the-less.
I'll be busy at work again today, so I don't imagine I'll have a solid amount of time for a chat, but I will certainly have to be on my toes once I do have time ![]() Spoiler for letter:
And the letter I sent in response: Spoiler:
