The evidence against Frozen in Ice seems quite damning.

The Groundskeeper has abandoned all pretense of working today. Instead, his eyes follow every move the Bard makes. The Bard is lying about the Child -- or the Child lied to him, and that's not something he believes likely. The Child told him the truth about the dolls, after all.
(OOC: The dolls do work for me (and I'd guess anyone), despite what I expected. They are a fairly weak (in the context of this game) and very unusual prophet item: they can check up to five people per night for activity, with a single yes/no answer. Due to information in his PM, Niklas used the dolls the first night on me. Once I checked out okay, he went broad for the second night, choosing five people, one of whom was Frozen In Ice. When he got back a "yes", he went fishing for information, and told me that Frozen had told him that he *was* active at night. So. I can't be sure what Niklas told Frozen about the dolls, so I'm revealing this to the public now. They're not safe with me. The dolls will be in someone else's hands at the evening post.)

You don't make sense, Frozen in Ice, you claimed that you ahd "Self Protection" abilities, and then you now say that you have "Guard" ability instead. Also, if you were truly guarding others every night, why did you claim that you weren't active during the night of the child's death? It seems suspiscious

You are putting words in my mouth Seon. You are trying to infer too much. I work towards stoping the ghosts (it's much more of a passive thing), but that doesn't mean that I don't have a self protection ability also. I never said I actively went out and guarded people.

OOC: On page 18, you claimed that you had "Self-protection" ability to oyzar. However, oyzar claims that you said "guard" ability. And yes, you did say that you were active at night to stop the ghosts. I don't know it that is a guard ability, but what you said over the course of today does not seem to add up for me.

The Groundskeeper sits quietly in the Great Hall as the daylight fails. His attention is no longer focused on the condemned Bard, but rather on something he holds in his hands. He hopes he is doing the right thing. He sits, and he waits for nightfall.

Evening Six Throughout the day, the votes against the Bard piled upon each other, and well before the sun set, he was the obvious choice for execution. His protests had gone unheeded. The votes against him were unanimous. Yet the castle was in for some surprises late in the day. The Merchant, D'Artagnan59, was peddling his wares at his wagon when he caught sight of the Groundskeeper, Renata, striding purposefully towards him. The bearing of the Groundskeeper was such that everyone cleared out of his path, and his intent stare was focused only on the Merchant, ignoring those few that didn't immediately scramble out of the way. The Merchant raised his hands as if to defend himself, and opened his mouth to speak, but he never got the chance. There was a glint of metal - the Groundskeeper held one of the silver knives in his hand. The sunset reflected from the blade made the silver knife look red. In a flash, the knife was stabbed into the Merchant's chest. Another flash, and it was pulled out and stabbed in again. A dozen times the Groundskeeper stabbed the Merchant, only stepping back when the Merchant began to go limp. The mob was aghast. Too shocked to shout or scream, everyone took in the scene of the Groundskeeper standing over the gurgling, dying Merchant. A brazen murder had been committed before their eyes. The Groundskeeper stopped only to wipe off the knife he had used before returning to his room without a word. It was impossible to tell whether he was satisfied by the outcome or not. Spoiler:
The sun set, and the castle went to sleep. At some point as they returned to bed, everyone briefly paused at some point or another to wonder whether they were forgetting something. Without exception, everyone dismissed it as mere stress and imagination. Spoiler:
Those with night actions, send them to me! Public posting is closed! Day breaks in 48 hours!

Morning Seven The castle woke quickly on the seventh day. The previous day, the lynch mob against the Bard had been forgotten, and there had been no chance to discuss the actions of the Groundskeeper. The snow was coming down thickly, to the point that it greatly limited visibility. The splotch of red in the courtyard wasn't easily identifiable. One by one, the crowd gathered around the red form, struck speechless by the sight. It was a statue that had always been there, of a warrior with sword upraised. The sword was blunt stone, but that hadn't stopped the werewolf. The savaged, miserable form of the Bard, Frozen In Ice, was impaled there, bloody claw marks on his body, and what appeared to be his severed arm laid nearby. He coughed. The growing circle of people around him shrunk back. The Bard was still alive, if only barely. With his one remaining eye, he surveyed the gathered denizens, and with the last of his energy, he breathed a curse. "You'll all die." Suddenly, a wave of black swept over the courtyard, a black so deep that no one could even see their hands before their faces. An unearthly wail was heard, full of despair, and when the darkness lifted, the Bard was gone. The Angel of Entropy had taken his disciple with him to Hell. Spoiler:
Spoiler:
The castle had much to think on, after the events of the previous day. The killers had taken their toll, and now noticeably less living people were among the mob. Three people who had been working against the castle had been revealed, but there were surely more to be found, and the time to find them was not unlimited. It is Day Seven! Players, place your votes! Votes for the Key to the Observatory are Red! Votes for the Officer's Saber are Blue! Public posting is open! Night falls in 48 hours!

I had spoken with renata yesternight, and while I do believe that he is suspiscious, he did claim that he did so because he felt that d'art, the merchant was a cohort to the priest.
Just thought to throw that out there.

Id like the Saber. And as for Renata, I trust him. We have talked and I do not believe him to be hiding any fur or I wouldve done the same and killed him myself. Its alot safer then hoping the votes would go that way and if Renata was right, we wouldnt be upset now would we?
Also, the wolf appears to like the shadows, why would he expose himself like this? Last edited by Sepuku; Jun 08, 2009 at 09:13 PM. Reason: green is support right? |

I am less than pleased that while I was in prison someone was in my room going through my belongings, few as they may be.
I am glad someone killed the Bard, seeing as how, according to you all, a malevent priest. The deaths of more innocents however, especially the Merchant D'Art is again less than pleasing, although I am not convinced either way about Renata. ZPV has barely made a sound, and when he did, it was not even to say anything about being accused the day before but merely to hop on the Frozen in Ice vote. You have some explaining to do.
