The blacksmith sat on the back of his cart, hammering out some notched and battered horse shoes. The horse breeder had given them to him and paid him for the work, and he wasn't going to skip the responsibility just because the buyer wouldn't be around to appreciate the result. Ever the watcher, but since his name was called he felt he had to respond something.
An "innocent" werewolf. An "innocent" demon, possibly even several. What's next, an "innocent" child murderer? An "innocent" Ashen Veil priest? What makes someone innocent anyhow? Innocent of killing the mayor and the horse breeder, but guilty of something more sinister? Being any one of those things would be enough to warrant death. How would it help us to stop one killer only to have something worse run loose? I have to say this whole affair with a cure for lycanthropy just seems a tad too convenient for my tastes. There are several possibilities, but one thing seems clear to me. If Sepuku is indeed a wolf, then Winston Hughes is not. But if Sepuku is not a wolf, then Winston's immediate calling her our must be questioned. In that case Sepuku would truly have approached her beloved with the hope of being cured, but Winston's readiness to throw her to the gallows could mean he jumped the opportunity to turn all our anger towards someone innocent. I'm not at all convinced that Sepuku hasn't been telling the truth all along, but I'm not emotionally attached, and I prefer safe over sorry. Putting her down would also tell us something about Winston Hughes, as well as Frozen In Ice.... Regarding Tolis, I would like to hear more about this supposed break-in by Methos. The Cow Farmer has yet to respond to the accusations. I thus prefer to resolve the Sepuku situation first, since all relevant things seem to have been said about that already. We will get no where by waiting longer, while new things will likely surface regarding Methos and Tolis in short time. Oh and historian, you may think your mind is sharp, but your eyes sure could use some aid. See this here cart I rode in on, needing two horses to pull? See this here large anvil mounted on top of it? You said it yourself, this here village doesn't have a blacksmith, nor does it need one, it's simply too small. Same for so many other villages around here, and elsewhere too. Not sure what it is you fail to compute from that.

Gagnarath stands by her husband and tries to calm her daughter z4ckdabeast.
We've known Sepuku for a long time but there's no proof she was cured, and no one who didn't blindly believe her already saying she didn't kill last night. If she is to be trusted we need more proof, much more proof. |

But there is no proof she isn't cured either. What do you people want for proof? A signed confession from the gods above? Somehow I think we are out of luck. What we do know is that either Tolis or Methos is lying. Perhaps even both. So if we deal with them, we know that atleast one troublemaker is gone, we have no such assurance with Sepuku.

We want proof because that way we will know if there's a character who can cure other werewolves (if there are others) who should be protected. We also need to kill her reagrdless because her ability as a wolf makes her too much of a risk unless we have absolute, definite proof that she is cured.
The Methos/Tolis situation is a lower priority as we don't have evidence that either of them can convert an innocent to an enemy every single night. |

I have been cured! If you wern't a suspect yourself right now, I'm sure that the people responsible for this would come to you and put you in your place. However currently you are calling for the town to kill an innocent tonight, and letting live a demon that hasn't recieved the cure, and kill another. What they are accusing each other is not only who is a demon, but which is responsible for Renata's death. This may not mean anything you to but that is anohter death of somebody from our village! As for the cure being a sham, think about this Eko. When all this started, I suspect there were two of us that could convert people. Now I have been cured...if I have not and I am lying then that would mean that two among you would already be converted (from both myself and and the other). Now count the time it would take to have the converted equal or best the number of remaining innocents. Do you really think that whatever put us all in this situation would make it so hopeless? Or are you just trying to push the public notice onto me to protect your spawn?! If that is true, that I am lying, that the cure is a sham, that you have no hope at all, then why are you speaking out now? Why even bother cause you wouldn't be able to stop anything from happening no matter what you did. Obviously this is not the case so maybe you should start speculation on this situation as a whole, not just follow the crowd.Maybe tommorow you can use logic and think about this. Surely they must've taught you to think where ever you came from...use that talent now. Last edited by Sepuku; Aug 03, 2009 at 11:52 AM. |

I have been speaking in private to many people since yesterday (game time), I am certainly not only speaking now.

The Baker sits quietly on the edge of the village square, barely noticing as claims and accusations are flung back and forth. Looking confused and dejected in equal measure, when he finally gets up to speak his words are mumbled and barely audible.
Sepuku, my Sepuku... Do you speak the truth? Is the curse gone? I don't know what to believe... But if there's a chance you have been saved, I cannot call for your death. He scratches his head nervously, clearly struggling to keep his composure, and looks over at the Corn Farmer. Tolis, a demon they say... Would you drag us all to hell? Or have you another purpose here? My mind is torn. Looking ever more shaky, his gaze moves to his the Miller. My brother... Good, honest Frozen in Ice... The one person I know I can trust. Whoever dies here this evening, the Horsebreeder's Stone will be safe in your hands, I am sure. With that, the Baker's gaze returns to the ground. Breathing deeply, and shaking his head from time to time, it is obvious that his thoughts are deeply troubled. |

Good people of the village lets step back and look at this situation.
Sepuku was spared yesterday we gave him our trust and a cure has been applied, whilst the person that 'cured' has not yet come forward (possibly undertandably) i believe from what i have read and what i have learnt in private that sepuku does not pose a threat to us, i believe that he has been cured. I have not heard any player speak up for being attacked and coverted last night... except one. Mr Tolis our corn farmer. I have not spoken to Mr Tolis. Our corn farmer, it seems he thinks religion is not his cup of tea. i cannot ever remember seeing him in our lovely church. However our cow farmer is a regular visitor, a pillar of the local community. As most people know this ceremonial cow skull with the wonderful teeth was donated by him only last week. .Mr Tolis you are a servent of Beelzebub or an agent of a demon, we shall hang you by the neck until the truth is known. |

Good priest, who is this Beelzebub of whom you speak? Is he a minion of Agares? Or perhaps Mammon? The name would suggest Bhall, perhaps... I have not heard you speak of him before in your sermons. Please, tell me more, that I might be armed against the wiles of this "Beelzebub"
The sheep farmer wanders off, attempting to merge Bhall and Beelzebub's names. |

My love's life lies in the balance. I see no choice but to cast my vote against Tolis. I pray that this is the right decision.

"Ah, love. A bard's favourite! Truly, there are few forces on Erebus that can hope to compete with the sheer power of love!
Yet love might deceive you... has that occurred to you, Baker? That you might be blinded by love and not see the monster that is your beloved? That you might have been deceived by the lies that she has been telling?"

As the day wore on, more shocking relevations came to light. Tolis got a lot of people looking at him the wrong way. There were still a large crowd who wanted sepuku to get punished however. This time it looked like the crowd wanted blood. There was no more hesitation. The Horse Breeder Renata also had lost her life. There just might be a serial killer on the lose.
As things didn't go his way the corn farmer withdrew to his farm. He might as well end things where he had spent these past few peaceful years. The crowd gathered outside the farm. Someone threw a torch in through the broken window, others barricaded the doors. It didn't take long before the hole farm was alight. People could hear Tolis howling from within, it certainly didn't sound human. Suddenly he burst out through the barricades. He didn't look like the Corn farmer everyone knew. From his backs there had now sprouted wings and he had horns through comming out of his head. The enourmus muscles that were normaly concealed by cloth also looked far from human. He rushed for the crowd, but people were ready. People thurst whatever weapons they had at him. He was able to batter most of them aside but a sword slipped through his guard and hit him directly in the eye. He let out a bloodcurling scream and dropped to his knees. From that position it was easy for the villagers to finish him off... Spoiler:
It seemed that not many cared for the stone. In the end the Mayor's Widow was the one with most votes and she was handed the stone as everyone went back to their dwellings to sleep.
