A few questions...

Well, hi, I am kinda new in Civ4 (and to this forum). I bought Civ4 a few years ago, I played a few games, but, I completely forget about it (I was kinda busy and also played some other games). But I thought in playing it once again this summer...

Anyway, I just have the vanilla version, I got kinda bored of it, so I thought in downloading a mod (TR 2.0). I liked it, but, I still have a few questions about it...:

Where can I see the year I am playing at?
Is there any possible way to make a map even bigger than the "TR Earth map". No offense, but, IMO, its too little.
Any other non-official user-created content (compatible with 'nilla) you would recommend me?
Any other non-official user-created content (compatible with 'nilla and TR) you would recommend me?
Are the civ4 scenarios compatible with TR (the ones the game starts with)?

-Thanks

You cannot in vanilla versions, it was implemented later. Anyway, TR has come a VERY long way since migration to Warlords, and I very much recommend you get Warlords and latest TR version.

TR is fully compatible with random maps. So you can get as big as you want.

It has been a very long time I didn't play vanilla, so I can't remember anything.

No, not as such. Again, I would very much recommend getting AT LEAST Warlords (then you can have the latest TR version, which is, like, 1000% better), or even BtS (there is no TR for BtS yet, but some other very nice mods are there).

Well, thanks for the fast reply, but, I am kinda short on money, and I am not such a big fan of civ series; right now, I am not really interested in buying any expansion pack.

Also, yes, I do realize that TR is compatible with random maps, but, what I meant was, to make a map even bigger than the official TR earth map. Like, twice bigger than any normal "huge" map available in the game.

Oh well, for now, I will just continue playing TR 2.0 with what I have. Later, I'll see what can I do. Thanks anyway.

You can just define any map size you want in CIV4WorldInfo.xml.
