Experimenting with modmods?

Hello. My friends and I play a lot of multi FFH2 with no modmods installed. I would like to experiment with some of them to see if they would suit our playstyle but also keep playing with them as I do so. I tried one modmod a while back and when I tried to play with my friends it threw our game OOS.

Is there a way to have two copies of FFH2 that keep seperate files from eachother?

Yes, I have FFH2, Fall Further, Fall Further with a couple other mods, and Fall Further +. In order to handle all of those I just make a copy of the FFH2 folder before installing the ModMod (or ModModMod as the case my be).

Generally, major modmods (Those with installers) COPY FfH to a new folder, and then write onto that, basically creating their own folder with the FfH data. FF did this before it began distributing the full download, and FFPlus, Orbis, WildMana, LENA, FlavourMod, and I believe Rise of Darkness all do this.

Smaller mods, you'll likely want to copy the FfH directory yourself.
