First of all, a big thanks to you Dalamb for keeping this club running. Your doing a fine job.

cheers :goodjob:

I voted for 2 weeks... Even though I could fit in a game a week easily I do fancy participating in some of the other games on the boards.

I like the idea of the game bieng hosted on a friday, fits in nicely with the weekend and all.

I voted once a week. NC games are nice and easy even when I play them on immortal and as such a nice change of pace for a nice relaxing game - often with a leader I would not normally choose.

So yea, once a week.

The original charter of the NC was to give lower-level players a vehicle for improving their games. It takes more time to play as a learning exercise, especially if you're pausing at certain points to solicit feedback. I don't see how switching contexts to a new game every week is helpful in that regard.

I'd be happy with once a month, myself.

I voted 1 per week because I play all the time. BUT... a longer period wouldn't upset me because after playing a NC map through I often go back and retry using a different starting strategy, as duckstab said, many of us use the game as a learning tool.

But, in saying this, and given there are other opportunities such as Play Your Leader or King of the Hill, players shouldn't be left wanting for regular premade maps if NC came out less frequently than weekly.

Given someone has to take their own time to create the map (something I cannot do), I'd be happy with monthly if that suited the map creator. Beggars can't be choosers.

LPR.

I see it this way: I don't play all of the games available but I certainly like to pick my challenges here and there and between this and the IU there aren't really that many series I fancy playing and even from the NC and IU games I like to choose only certain games so my game total is propably 33-50% of NC/IU games played. This is also behind my reasoning of once a week - this way there'd be more to choose from and since there are quite a few active players on this forum, I'm sure every game would get it's fair share of attention, feedback and of course, learning AAR material.

The only series that ever had a set schedule for long was LHC, and I always felt those came out too slowly :p. IMO do whatever you want...though you know which way I lean I'm sure.

I thought that the historical median of 15-16 days was about right, so I voted for more than two weeks.

Excellent series though. Keep up the good work.

Actually, no; I forget many things and have to ask people to tell me again.

One factor I didn't think to poll about was that bit about Fridays being the best day to post a new game. If that turns out to be a significant factor the poll boils down to a choice between 1 wk and 2 wks (or, I suppose, 3 wks, but few people are asking for more than 2 wks). I'm not sure what to think about that.

The question is every bit as good as the series and our new excellent host dalamb whose steady questioning and commentary is always well-welcomed.

We have colleagues who sign-in to play and colleagues who sign-in to learn; some finish in three hours others finish in 30 plus hours; some play every game while others play one in three. The reasonable compromise appears to be every two weeks starting on a Friday. My vote but dalamb's decision.

Every single day.

Actually a week would be fine. 10 days?

I play games in like 3 hours so I can keep up with faster-running series ;).

Weekends tend to be easiest for everyone but speed play allows me to handle weak days frequently also (actually in my rare case they're a little better, since I do MP and every other saturday polycast recordings on weekends).
