Whos going to win the World Series?

Im a bit biased in this as i absolutely hate the Giants, i probably wouldnt if they didnt have Barry Bonds but they do so i dont like them . So im going for Anaheim. They seem to have a more balanced lineup than SF does. They have at least 6 players that can do deep at any time in the game, SF they rely on Barry too much to get the longball. Alll around Anaheim wins the series in 6

No need to say *bump*, you could have mentioned the series is tied 1-1.

The team that wins four will be the victor.

Though, I don't really like any of these teams, the Giants will win it in game 7.

I was watching last night when Bonds hit the monster shot in the ninth...

When Percival got ready to pitch to Bonds, I told my buddy that if Bonds saw a strike, he was gonna take it deep.

I was STILL awestruck when Barry calmly blasted the hell out of the ball.

Is this guy the modern Babe Ruth or what?

Angels win the series! I hope!

To set the record straight, I am not a Bonds fan...

BUT, have you ever seen a hitter dialed in like this guy? I haven't, and I have studied baseball for a LONG time.

Bonds SHATTERED the walks record, and the Homerun record. He hit .370 this year!

If he isn't a modern day Babe, then who is?

Smaller ballparks for one. 2 i think he juicing (steroids) and 3 no way. the babe was much more media friendly than mr bonds. Maybe if bonds was more media friendly and acted like he could care less about winning the series. Barry Bonds will only be one of the greats because he could jack them out of the yard but he will never truly be one of THE greats

Why do you think there is a short right field porch at Yankee Stadium aka "The house the Ruth built"?

Media friendly or not, Barry is a great hitter... He is secretly thrilled to be there, but will not be percieved as a softy...

Remember, Teddy Ballgame HATED the media, cursed the fans, and is probably one of the 5 top players EVER.

Again you are showing your total lack of knowledge of baseball.

As to your points... smaller ballparks???? do some more homework... you have no clue what you are talking about.
As FF pointed out, Yankee Stadium was tailored to his batting stroke.

Steriods... frankly, until baseball outlaws them and starts testing for them, it's not an issue. They aren't illegal at this point in time based on Baseballs weird pollicy, so you can't hold that against him.

Media Friendly... So what... being friendly to the media has NOTHING TO DO WITH whether he is a GREAT player or not. The media has treated him like crap... and he returns the favor.

Unlike Mark McGwire who was a one trick pony, Bonds is full package. Fielding, hitting for percentage, base stealing in his youth, power, home runs... He will be one of THE GREATS of the game when his career is done, if not THE BEST. Even now, in the later part of his career, his numbers this year were simply mind numbing...

You may hate his guts, but don't let that blind you to how great of a player he is. In your first post to this thread, your statements proved to be TOTALLY wrong when you look at the statistics... Well do the same again and look at what Bonds has accomplished, and how many of the old records he has broken...

Maybe after you look them up, you will have a clue.

Personally, I think he's too full of himself and don't particularly care for him as a human being... but as a baseball player, I tip my cap to his skills and talent. I will be thrilled to tell my grand children that I was able to watch the greatest player of all time play. He is one player I will pay to watch.

Nothing you can say will change my thoughts on barry bonds and his deserving of being named one of the best players all around. His batting avaerage was high because most of his hits were HRS or doubles, couple of triples in there i beleive, His Slugging percent, thats a no issue on that one , As for me not knowing jack about baseball your wrong. I detest everything about barry bonds. Hes selfish rude, and hes thinks hes gods gift to baseball.

But this thread isnt about barry bonds, its about who will win the series, if we want to debate barry maybe we should have an approprite thread on that, lets get it back on topic

Angels win in 6 as ive said before and i still think that the angels have a far more dangerous lineup than the giants. Im not baseing that off of stats its a personal opinion

And this is not good why???? It is just more proof of how good he is.

From your opening post, and everything else you have said, anybody that knows baseball would know that you have not given us any reason to prove that you do understand baseball... I see you haven't even bothered to respond to my stats showing how your opening post was not acurate in anyway

Actually, if you would look at the stats, both teams are very similar in terms of slugging percentage and on base average, but then again, the Angels didn't have to let their pitchers bat through out the season. However, your opening post talked about HR's... and the Angels aren't even come close to the Giants in that category... so your personal opinion there was just incorrect, like many of your other personal opinions

Angels up 2-1, that Monkey is doing the job.

Bonds hit ANOTHER homer.

In 30+ years of watching baseball, I have NEVER seen a hitter this locked in.

Well... the series is tied at 2 games each... which is fine by me.
Since I really don't care who wins, I just want a good series and for it to go 7 games. Nothing better than the 7th game of a World Series... I love baseball, and I hope we get another classic series. GO 7!

What a blow out last night... The Giants have already tied a major league record for home runs in a WS with 12. 6 different players have hit home runs for SF. And Bonds only accounts for 3 of them. The Giants have shown they have power throughout their line up, just as they did during the regular season.

Now the only question is, will SF win in 6 games, or will I get to see a 7th game of the WS.
