Lord Satan and the End of Days: The Holy See from Hell!

Lord Satan began by researching COmpass, something that may take 53 turns as the economy crashes. "Lazy Aztec dogs, work faster to build infrastructure. WHIP"

CRACK!!!!!!!!! And Satan begins to whip as many things as he can to get some beakers flowing into his empire.

Meanwhile the Dutch Arabs come by to talk, and Satan is impressed and rather angered to find



An offer of a Defensive PAct! Of course Lord Satan refuses but still the idea of Currasairs against him is downright unsettling if not, interesting.

SO he crawls along researching Compass until he discovered



The Cartheginian Americans! Satan rudely flips him the horn, and ignores the loser. Soon Washington has enough on his hands.

The next thing to do is send the Great Spy to infiltrate CAtherine in the south. A great number of eps were generated as well as some interesting photos of the Russian Lass (Satan had word she actually posed for them).

There is good news though as Satan finds out that



Pure Evil is the biggest thing on earth, at least according to McCawly!

And to save a little gold for a few turns, Satan encourages Anarchy amongst the Aztecs to swap to Organized Religion



However, the best thing that could happen to a backwards Evil Tyrant occurred.



So Lord Satan packed up his assorted demon, sacrificial knives, and pictures of CAthy and moved into the AP. He finds it very amusing since he still does not have the technology to actually build the damned thing, and damned it is!

Soon after the vote we find who Washington went after



Satan laughs with delight, and has his exploring Galley report back with a map.



Sal certainly looks very ripe over there, a few cities all lush with devouted followers and rich shrines. Eventually, but not yet. Galleys/triemes are no match for East Indianmen!

After trudging through Optics so we can explore properly with a caravel to actually find where old GW lives, we exploited the eps from the Great Spy against Cathy.



Normally SOMEONE will trade for Astronomy except everyone else has it. Nevertheless, Satan begins building Galleons!

He also stole



Mostly for castles as the trade route will help alot as economics seams way off.

We readjust eps towards CAthy in the hopes of stealing at least one more tech. Meanwhile we found



Agustus of the Holy Romans! Satan treats him the same way he treats Washington.

As Satan researches Fuedalism (we are teching a bit faster now) we checked the tech situation.



ONly a Madman would initiate a war at this point. Fortunately, satan fits that part and when the next vote option for the AP comes up.





We get Washington dogpiled by us and the Russians! While Satan fights a phoney war (Hard to get axemen over there using Galleys) Our "friends" are certainly taking the war seriously. In fact perhaps next segment we can backstab Sal a bit although he does have grenaders by the save!

Those eps did manage to get Satan another technology



Which allows us to research Literature quickly and start building the Heroic and National Epics!

Satan get's the next Great Person



Who starts a Golden Age by announcing to the general Aztec population that production and commerce must increase by 50% or else the Alters will be bleeding even faster (not that they have slowed up very much).

Satan then adopts VAssalage for the extra XP and really wished he had Theology!



Anyway, Satan decides to sit down with Washington and agrees to peace



During the Golden Age we research Guilds and combined with MAces and trebs gives us a reasonable invasion force eventually.

AFter the Golden Age we started on Gunpowder simply because all of Sal's cities will have castles, and afterall the Dark Lord certainly needs more military options. We are whipping Grocers to help the economy also. Satan saved here

OK, being so far behind in tech has dampened Satan war lust a bit. The million dollar questions is do we build an enormous force of outdated Middel Age stuff and assault Sal, or do we wait and try for rifling before we start world domination. The economy is starting to rebound but proper death and destruction may take until the Modern Era the way things are going.

Or the rules have changed. W/ so much land, just build it up and wait for marines+planes to subdue the world.

Nah, just Like Bureacracy, Satan can use those civics until he get's the more important ones. Satan never did say in the rules that those civics sere forbidden, did he now!

MEh, just overwhelm your Eurabian neighbors with overwhelming numbers. You have the land, the power and the evilness to get away with it, and since when has satan ever let technology get in the way of evil.

OFC technology can be evil so you should really do somethign to improve th techrate while your crushing Dutch Eurabia. It'd be good to see all the evil technologies like fission, robotics and genetics in satanic before someone else gets them and perverts them to GOOD purposes.

Lord Satan and the End of Days:The Russian Lass Discovers what dealing with the Devil Means!

Satan continues to send spies into Catherine's lands, much to the annoyance of the Mayan. Sure a few photo shots are fine, but the Devil continues to hound her leaving her no private time. The Aztec Paparazzi are crazy and soon Satan manages



Another tech stolen! Meanwhile Satan is rather tunnel minded in how he directs the Aztecs to research, after Gunpowder the techpath went

Chemistry/Steel/Printing Press/Replaceable PArt/Rifling!

Quietly building an army and whipping infrastructure into as many Aztec cities as he can, Satan finally manages to research a tech someone is missing



Allowing this trade



No question here, Satan demands a civic change as the Aztec people go screaming into the streets in disarray.



Sure we lose trade routes but get the ability to run free merchants, I mean tax collectors. In addition All Aztecia starts constructing Banks, a much more evil institute than anything else we have built so far!



Satan did produce 2 more Great Scientists this segment, and has held both as nothing worthwhile has popped up. Most likely we are looking at fodder for a few later Golden Ages once we get some more GPs.

Catherine becomes even more angered as secret letter's of her's were swiped by Aztec spies, all of which led to embarraressing answer to very pointed questions by the Mayan people



That's OK as Satan continues to buildup near the Arab Dutch, including a fleet of top notch Frigates!

Disappointedly, the Hindu members of the world have grown tired of Satans leadership



Begrudgingly Satan packs his things and begins to seriously look at Saladin with an evil eye. Just not ready yet.

The Aztecs are beginning to research better now and quickly get



But the question is does Satan trade it



Well, the secret is out already, might as well get something for it

So we are starting to get a little edge over Agustus also. Fortunately the Holy Roman started to become less Holy and was willing to start trading with the devil.



I key technolgy here for Satan, opening up the rifiling path.

Satan has started to assembly an invasion force for Sal, waiting for cannons to enter the scene. However, apparently there was just one too many "Peaks" into the Mayan Queen's bed chambers, because



Satan is both furious and amused by this, and quickly see's what is going on

What was going on is that the Capital of Sodom was captured by the Mayan Queen via a sea assault! Yes people, CAtherine has indeed Sodomized herself at the expense of us.

Saladin, appaently not realizing his very close demise, actually tried to help us.



But that was voted down by both ourselves and Catherine, apparently this evil and sick mating dance between these two is not to be terminated that quickly!

Satan recovers and sends this Armada



Towards Sodom to Sodomize the Mayan Queen in return. I should note that I actually have a few Amphibious War Elephants in that stack!

As we are researching Rifling, we get the opportunity for a trade with Agustus.



While it may appear lopsided and what the hell does Satan need PAcifism, it does move us along teh tech tree.

The next turn Satan also lost New York City, particularly Times Square is what Catherine had her eyes on. She also started sending a large stack towards the center of our empire, something Satan finds somewhat apealing.

However, Satan has a certain reputation to uphold and retakes Sodom.



We land enough troops to defend the capital, add a few muckets from the HE city of Gommorah (getting Combat IV muskets out of the gate!), and send the armada towards the south to regain New York City and it's dramatic Broadway shows!



CAtherines invasion force is now getting eeakened and all the knights are sent to Beelzebub while the seige and muskets/elephants/melee are sent towards the two Russian cities in the south.



The Force attacking Bealzebub is totally destroyed by combat promoted knights as they did quite a bit of damage to Cathy's cannons, the rest being mopped up. Meanwhile Zama



Falls into Aztec hands! Culture is expnaded by building culture, followed by sacrificail alters.

CAthy is willing to talk peace, but the Dark Lord has become unsatiable with regards to the Mayan Queen as troops bear down on the last city od Izamal



With our Galleons repaired in New York HArbor and Combat III frigates being constructed Catherine agrees to a reasonable peace



We could have continued the war, but Satan really wants a brutal attack force to repay the Mayan tramp proper. Because.......



Steam Power is the next thing to research, however Satan has saved here, mostly to get some advice



NOW THAT IS DAMNED INTERESTING!!! Not a monopoly, yet a great trade situations. To let you know I can swing the following trades

Sal: Rifiling for Scientific Method
Agustus: Rifling for Nationalism

or Vice versa. CAthy will also trade but Satan is a mit miffed at her, but hell perhaps give the entire world rifling and get economics to boot. Do we pull off those trades? Drafting and whipping in the same turn using the Alters means only 7 turns of unhappiness and ALOT of souls going to hell!

Our cities



Starting on drydocks for well promoted naval ships. Charismatic has it's benefit heree as the half priced drydocks will get us three free promotions out of the gate! Add theology and one settled GG in the Maori coastal city means possibly 4 free promtions. Satan shall rule the seas!

One last point, Saladin is considering the Culture Path



But with his closeness and exclusively Coastal cities I say we let Sal get as close as he can only to ruin his victory at the last possible second.

3 people already have Liberalism. And it doesn't look like Augustus has nationalism.

It's probably not different for you, but last time I played Monty a month or 2 ago, sac alters didn't work for drafting, which was sad. But whipping cannons/cavalry/drafting rifles can make for a very big war machine very fast. Sucks to give others rifles, but getting 2 important techs counters that. Especially since opening up Bio can be very nice for going forward.
