I personally reccommend either IWill or SOYO. I have used both motherboards (I have two SOYO motherboards and one IWill) and they have never given me any issues with compatibility, overheating, etc. etc.

Not good on Gigabyte.
One just died after 2 years - its replacement - Asus- went in very easily. Cheap and good spec. Abit - nothing but praise. Good documentation.Well made. All the facilites I wanted - and softmenu for overclocking. Nice.

The rolls royce of MBs is Tyan, without any doubt.
The most overclockable ones are Abit. The most standard and stable, surely MSI...

Basically all major brands are good.
It's like cars. Sometimes you can buy a car from the most honored brand, but get a bad one 'cos of ****ty luck. Gigabyte are a good company, I have a motherboard from them running smoothly, but col on the other hand had bad luck and received one that went coocoo after two years. Abit, Asus, MSI, Gygabite, Iwill, Shuttle, all good. You need to select the mother board that has the specs that best fit your needs, best support in your area and best price-per-performance. That's my advice. Don't forget to check on the warranty.

If I could, I would burn down the establishment that we call the seasons, along with your cursed dependence on earth and air and sun, on rain and dew.” The cypress does not answer. He knows there is madness in him, and freedom, and imagination, and spirit. But the flame will not understand, the flame will not believe.
