syncronization error in BTS direct ip
Me and my friend often play BTS by direct ip. Huge game. When we are far in the future with lots of troops etc we often gets the out of sync error.
Really annoying you have to restart and it takes ages to transfer data (another stupid "bug" in civ mp) before you can start play again. Is there something to do to eliminate these syncronization errors? I dont understand how they can occur. The game should transfer the changes point by point. The host should send the information to the other client what troops have moved etc. |

Yes that is the way it works, but....the game will only wait so long for data to get transfered. So if one of the players has a machine with not enough memory to handle a large map with many troops then the other players computers will drop him when his machine doesn't respond in time. Same happens if once player has a weak internet connection with alot of latency.
