Border Proposals - Future Western Provinces

We are charged with establishing provincial borders prior to expanding into the territory. We have failed to do so once again. We must begin discussion on these new provincial borders immediately.

I will open the floor with the following proposal:

I like it 40J. Although I might include Fukushima (sp?) and it's surrounding area in the purple Province.

i would primarily use the mountain ranges as landmarks for province borders. as they will propably be highly corrupted, many cities dont harm those provinces.

here is the edited map i would go along with:

the blue line shows the 2 provinces i would take out of these lands (please redraw a nicer version, the above is only to get you the idea).

I agree with Cyc on Fukushima, but I don't think we should spend any time reworking this. We have three cities without a province to call home right now. We can add another member to the Senate right now. Let's push this proposal through ASAP. We can work out any details in time for Fukushima to join our glorious nation.

@DZ: we are here to discuss, not to just accept because we were lazy before.
all proposals MUST be put up for a poll... remember we are a democraty... and must pass the qualifications for a border proposal ;-)
Even if there was only one proposal, an acceptance poll would be needed with 24h pre discussion.

It is no problem cities have no province. They are run by the domestic department.

I'd leave Fukushima out of the purple province and stick with the mountains and hills as provincial borders. In fact I think the borders of Lonely Mountain and the Southwest Province should be extended west to the mountain range.

BTW, don't try abbreviating Fukushima.

I was actually looking at the possibility of including Fukushima in with the "Dragon's Backbone" province (the purple one), but the underlying terrain doesn't support it.

Donsig
You're absolutely correct. Don't mispeak when talking about some of those Japanese cities. It could get you kicked from the chat rooms.

Also you're recommended modifications make sufficient sense to warrant another graphic. I will try to complete it and have it posted within the day.

Finally, barring any other submissions, I intend to poll this matter within 24 hours. The poll will include the following proposals:
  • Proposal #1 (drawn by FortyJ)
  • Proposal #2 (drawn by Disorganizer)
  • Proposal #3 (proposed by Donsig, drawn by FortyJ) - image attached
The poll will remain open for a minimum of 48 hours and until quorum has been reached.
