Border Proposals - Future Eastern Provinces

We are charged with establishing provincial borders prior to expanding into the territory. We have failed to do so once again. We must begin discussion on these new provincial borders immediately.

I will open the floor with the following proposals:

I definately like the 2nd one better. "To Dye For" is larger, which just looks better.

I like the 1st Proposal, but then we should also be thinking of a 4th province south of "The Shore" and east of "The Great Plains".

I like the second one...

Also, shouldn't our focus be on the soon-to-be-captured Japanese territory?

I like the second one for To Dye For and The Shore, but I like the first for The Great Plains.

FortyJ, shouldn't we be discussing provincial borders in the south? We have three "unincorporated" cities, enough for a brand new province! Setting provincial borders in that region should be our focus as it will net us another governor immediately. And I am afraid that Padmativa will be sitting by itself for a spell, seeing that we have no plans to overtake America at this time.

While it is a great idea to decide the Eastern provinces ahead of time, we need a home for Huntington, Octavinium and Danke's city(the name escapes me...sorry) now.

BTW, I like prop1 here. The Shore has 11 cities in Prop2!

Oops...my apologies, FortyJ. I just located your thread regarding the Western proposal(about 10-12 threads down). I should not have doubted you. But I guess my question would be....

What is everybody doing in here? A new governor and member of the Senate awaits in the South!

I'm with donsig here. If you take the Great Plains from #1 and put it with the larger Provinces of #2, we would have a much better plan. Also, I would put Seattle in the Great Plains Province.

Border Proposal #4

OK 40J. I have drawn up another map that I hope you will accept as proposal #4. Using your #2 map, I have altered the borderlines to reflect the changes donsig and I have suggested. The Great Plains Province is now enlongated and includes Seattle. When I named this map, I just put a small "a" at the end of your syntax.

If you'd like, I can hike it up to an 1100 width to match yours.

Thank you, Dis. In fact, here's #4 bumped up to a 1050 width. I also cleaned it up some and changed the proposal number on the map. It's a little bit fuzzy, but you get the general idea. I replaced the "a" with a "b".

You inspire me to Yoda-like levels of pride in our Cartographic Office staff. "Well done you have on this map. Keep this up you must. hmmm"

On a more serious note.... Barring any additional submissions, I will poll this topic tomorrow. The proposed poll will include the following four submissions:
  • Proposal #1 (drawn by FortyJ)
  • Proposal #2 (drawn by FortyJ)
  • Proposal #3 (drawn by Disorganizer)
  • Proposal #4 (drawn by Cyc)
The poll will remain open for a minimum of 48 hours and until quorum has been reached.

Disorganizer
For purposes of the poll, would you reconsider redrawing your map with somewhat more clearly defined borders? I am willing to submit that map as is in the poll, but I fear people will not fairly consider it if the borders are not marked more clearly.
