In the light of the above: we might need to find a substitute for Knutis? I just checked, and the last time he played a turn was on Nov 22nd.
Sure, I. Larkin is a strong player and can probably handle this on his own. But he is missing a very important dimension of this game: the cooperation with your ally.
(Could be this is an advantage, as he might be able to "perfectly coordinate" both empires, but it could also mean a disadvantage, as he does not get the help of a second player for doublke-checking the decisions and "thinking in different directions".)

Knutis, Eclipse, I. Larkin: what do you think?

I spent sometime to explain to Knut our tactics and he agreed. If we find strong player to substitute him like Ignas or t_x, I see no problem.

GPS to I. Larkin

The strongest point on the subject of Cooperation is this;
If 2 very strong players are on the same team they will tend to bump heads, think they are the strongest player and dissolve as a team.

I wont use a person as an example but will tell you how a very early conversation with another player went. "But he is one of the all time best" and I said "So, If he is playing as a team and the other doesn't agree and thinks he is right they play separately and the playing field has been leveled" (this could not happen if he plays both sides of his team.)

I don't know how to describe it, but when a good plan is created, followed and achieved it beats the out of doing on your own.

The absolute bulk of my Civ3 pbem history has been Cooperative, some of you know that here at CF, but most are finding players from groups like this and playing these games, but most have moved on to Civ4. So for the last 2 or 3 years I have found that yes I love the game but more often I Love the Characters and by that I mean you guys.

You guys are devoted players, there is nowhere I know of that has this consistency I feel like a coach

As Knutis is probably not going to answer, I'd like to say that I think it only fair that Knutis be replaced as quickly as possible. One player with twice the resources seems an unfair advantage.

Give them a PM, I doubt you'll have trouble filling the slot, at least I hope

It's been more than three days for this game. I've sent a PM and an email yesterday. I will play for Bowsling in a bit.

EDIT: Never mind....
Checked my email and Bowsling had sent me the save, he just never posted his gps. My fault.
