Yeah. I figure that if Brock, the 2 poke wonder, has a full party and fire moves, Misty must have her own tricks up her sleeve..

Still. Mount. Moon to conquer first.

Her Starmie is a vicious foe even in the standard game. In my last FireRed game, the Pikachu who destroyed every other Pokemon in her gym with one thundershock (or was it thunderbolt?) couldn't even dent that Starmie.

And thanks for the link. All I found were sites that linked to sites that linked to sites that linked to sites.

Yeah. While there was some of that for Emerald 386 as well, at least you could find a working download on the first page of a google search.

Fire Red Omega took a lot more tracking.

pfff Misty has more pokemon then Stary and Starmie, and some require a non grass attack to kill.

Chapter 5: Moving on Mt. Moon

Okay, beat Brock.. Time to move on.

Hey, trainers!

Spoiler:

...

Spoiler:

..
I am flattered, Senor, but I do not swing that way.

Spoiler:

Bu- Not all of us have the figure for shorts, arsehole!

Spoiler:

Yes.
In ways you're only just beginning to suspect.

...

*slapped* *HARD*

Ugh. At least this has reminded me that the trainers in Kanto are lesser lifeforms.

Now, what can I catch in Route 3?

Spoiler:

...
*sigh* You'll have to do.

Spoiler:

Introducing: Sicily, the Spinda.

Now, just one last pokecenter remains before I abandon all civilization to enter that godforsaken cave.. Might as well hang around a while to equalize the party levels.

Spoiler:

Sir?
That's not the news.
It's a clipboard.. And it seems to be upside-down.

Spoiler:

Nice.

Spoiler:

<_<

SICILLLYYY!

Spoiler:

Hah! Critcal-hit super-effective Karate Chop Revenge kill!
(try saying that three times fast..)

Spoiler:

Deceased: Sicily at level 12 in Route 3.

Well.. At least the rest of the team should be tough enough now..

Spoiler:

Oh, and I met an odd little man offering me a deal in the pokecenter.

Spoiler:

What d'you guys think? Sound legit?

Spoiler:

Yeah.

Sicily, Harrison..

I'm starting to think that being my 6th party member is the Pokemon equivalent of wearing a red-shirt. <_<

Mark a pig? M'pragiak. Karma pig!

Maybe you could barter with him. Tell him you got Treecko for free, then maybe he'll pay you to take it away.

Wait... didn't you already get something on this route?

No. I'm not counting event or gift pokemon for the "first in an area" clause but even if I were, this Pokecentre is on Route 4, right at the base of Mt. Moon, while I caught Sicily in Route 3.

hehe, I actually did not use them as much as I thought I would in my game.

My party now consists of a:

Scizor
Swampert
Magmar
Sceptile
Snorlax
Espeon

It just consumes too much time to grind all those starter pokemon to a decent level.

Scizor?

Good man! Best Steel-type, in my opinion.

I'll try to only use Terry.

I've got pretty much every base covered with my current team, so I doubt i'll need them. (although i'd like to slip in a psychic or ghost type at some point)

Ah I remember having a Scizor once* ... bug/steel was a sweet combo with only fire as a weakness (I think). Good times... anyway Metagross is practically legendary. Don't you only get it at the end of one of the games (Ruby/Sapphire)? Whenever I got to that point I tended not to bother playing on...

EDIT *years ago when I played and my friends also played

Chapter 6: Queen under the Mountain

Alright. I suppose you guys know best.

Spoiler:

Introducing: M'pragiak, the Magikarp.

M'pragiak? What is he African or something?

Spoiler:

What the? Level five?!

You ripped me off, old man!

Spoiler:

And you know what you're getting once I bring him back evolved.

*one long-winded generic training montage later*

Spoiler:

What the? You still can't attack?!

Damnit, i'm trying my luck under the mountain.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

Oh, they can't really be that bad..

Spoiler:

Yo. Guess you'll be joining us.

Phillip? Beat her down for capture.

Spoiler:

Ah. The legendary five-hit double-slap. I had heard rumours of it before, but..

Punk then proceeded to do exactly the same thing to Terry.

Only Bella was lucky enough to get hit only twice.

Here's the state of my team after her capture:

Spoiler:

She is so boxed for that.

Introducing: Chesca, the Clefairy.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

Well, i'm not suspicious, although I could see how you'd think that.

What with my, being really suspicious and all..

Spoiler:

Oh.. That's a Zubat..

I don't see what's so bad about it..

Spoiler:

Wait, Lunatone and Solrock are here?!

A fact I would learn all too painfully as my party was crippled by a level 16 Lunatone. I had to run for the exit. But literally two steps away from the light:

Spoiler:

MELLIISSSAA!

Deceased: Melissa at level 16 in Mount. Moon.

Spoiler:

...
She passed away.. To save the rookie..
...
To break the curse of the 6th party member..

Spoiler:

She died so no others would have to..

Spoiler:

;_;

Spoiler:

...

Grahh!

It's not over yet!

We were under-equipped.. Under-trained..
We won't make the same mistake twice.

We'll scavenge what we can from this floor. Making sure to visit the Pokemon Center as often as possible.

Once we can afford enough medicine, we'll beat our way through.

Spoiler:

Hmm.. That could come in handy..

I then tried training M'pragiak outside to get him remotely competent.

However, we met an uninvited friend outside.

A female Mankey.

I switched in Bella to try and deal with it as quick as possible.

It scored a Karate-Chop critical-hit, leaving her with only 7 health.

Still, she could out-speed it.. And use Magnitude..

"Bella! Use Magnitude!"

*magnitude four*

..I watched in horror as it took off a tiny chunk of Mankey's health.

Then Mankey used a Low-Kick..

;_;

Spoiler:

B-Bella?!
I'm not going to lose you too!

Thankfully, she endured long enough for another to switch in and finish the job..

Okay. Forget Training. We've got the gear. Let's try and get through this.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

..It's time..
