More natural wonders?

On Arioch's site, there are 9 confirmed natural wonders. Are there going to be more or is that all we get?

We don't know yet. There are probably a lot more.

So much interesting stuff on the map - will it be worth not to start with one or two scouting units? On top of very valuable intel, now you have ruins, natural wonders, barbarian camps and city states. A +1 happiness or a promotion from warrior to spearman seem much more powerful, than what the goodie huts in Civ4 gave e.g. +50 gold or some XP for the warrior.

There had better be more! How else can I stack more Death Mana!

(like the feature in general, I expect there would be more, what would actually be best is if there was a very long list like 100 but only, say 20 appear on a given map depending on size. And barbs and their related features too most likely have seen an overall improvement)

One of the Achievements listed is:

The Explorer
Discover 100 Natural Wonders.

So I would assume that there are likely a few more. Though I think this means 100, ever.

I'm not sure there are that many really. Looking through the directory from steam's preload I have the following "Wonder_Crater," "Wonder_Fuji" "Wonder_Geyser" "Wonder_Gibraltar" "Wonder_Krakatoa" "Wonder_Mesa" and "Wonder_Reef." In each of those folders there are 4 subfolders titled Africa, America, Asia, and Europe. I assume the subfolders represent the different textures they have for continents now.

Maybe each natural wonder is renamed in each texture set?

maybe 100 so that you 100 times discover "a" wonder - not 100 different ones...

What's weird is that in Assets\terrain\peices there are 7 folders.

Wonder_Crater
Wonder_Fuji
Wonder_Geyser
Wonder_Gibraltar
Wonder_Krakatoa
Wonder_Mesa
Wonder_Reef

Each of these have 4 folders inside; Africa, America, Asia & Europe.

I'd interpret this to mean that there are only 7 "wonders" but each has 4 art styles. The BIG question is can there be 28 natural wonders in one game?

Arioch's site has a screenshot of Mt. Everest, though I haven't seen any screenshots of it since.

I think if mods are swearing with initials then it's okay.

Even if there's only 7, that's 7 more than there were in previous Civ games.

Unfortunate if this is all there is.
Hopefully a modder can make a Natural wonder pack, so that we'll see different ones each game?

Finding 100 NW for the achievement could be a pita if there are only a max of 7 each game, even if its 28 it wont be easy. I am assuming that "Discover" 100 Natural Wonders means be the first one to find them.
Hopefully it will work like the old "Conquest of the New World" game by Interplay where there is a Global message whenever a NW is found, and maybe a name it ourselves ability.

Mt. Everest is in the game, maybe it's a reskin of Mt. Fuji?
