Coupla Questions

First off, I know several people have sent e-mails off notifying the people at Firaxis/Infogames about the 1.14f patch incompatability with European English versions of PtW. Has anyone had any official response back about this?

Secondly. Is there a newer version of the CivMultiTool that will work with version 1.29 and PtW, or I am just being really oblivious and missing it? I thought I'd dl'd the latest version.

And finally. Is it just a screw up on my end or does the automated placement programme that cane with Marla's map not work with PtW? I figured different version/format would bugger it up and stop it working. If that's so are there any plas for a PtW compatable variant?

I tried the link at the top of the thread to dl the map and programme so I could see whether it was just my version but it just dl's some strange little programme that doesn't work. Anyone else had any problems with it?

There should be a Euro Patch available at Infogrames website already.

CivMultiTool does not work with PTW.

There is no need for a placement tool for Marla's map anymore (since 1.29f of Civ3). Just use the editor to place the cities.

Can't see one. I go to the Civ3 site, click downloads section and the only two choices I get are standard 1.29f patch and the PtW 1.14f patch with a warning in bold that it can only be used with the US version.

That's what I thought. I went in and used it to place all of the civilizations starting points, including the new PtW ones. Only problem is that whilst the civs start in those locations, they seem to be randomly selected. The Civ I play with is always in the right starting spot but the AI ones are scattered randomly. One game China can be where England should be, the next they're in the Americas instead of the Aztecs.

Sorry to be a pain, but could you just reiterate what you have to do editor wise to fix it, preferably in idiot terms. I'm lucky enough that the computer turns on most times when I poke it with the stick.

Actually beside placing the starting position, you can also specify if the spot is for a specific Civ.

Once you done that, England will always start where they should. So will all the other Civ.

Yeah, just right-click the Starting location and you can change it.

Ack! I thought I had and it still wasn't working. Reason was, I was using an older verion of Marla's map that I hadn't done this for. Thanks for the help.

And since the Civ3 site was a bust for a European compatibable patch, anyone else heard anything on the subject?
