Hey, this isn't really a big issue for me, but I'm playing Civ V right now, and I had these weird shadows that always seemed to be located in the same spot on the screen. At first I thought it was something on my monitor, but as I moved the view, the shadows would change shape to show properly on the terrain, and they disappeared when the location they were projecting onto goes through forest. They would reappear in the same location on the screen as soon as I scrolled someplace where they were visible (like desert.)
I wasn't sure what the shadows were, till I saw them move when a unit moved (and they move similiarly to units, they are a bunch of dots moving in formation. They are in a group of 4 by 3 (I'm in the ancient era, so I think that they are a formation of warriors.) There are a few other dots here and there, probably the shadows of scouts, or wounded formations. The shadows disappear under strange circumstances, for instance if I center the camera on some well lit hills to the south of my city, the 4x3 shadow formation disappears, but the other ones continue to be visible, even when travelling over hills. It's all rather weird, and sort of inconsistent, so I just figured I'd tell you guys so you can send a memo to the code monkeys .I'm running windows 7, I've got the game running on Directx 9, and my video card is an ATI Radion HD 2900 XT. |

Doesn't matter
.Could you maybe show us a screenshot of the problem? And looking at the system specs, i guess all graphical options are already set to low, right? |
