Achievement Progress

I'm sure I saw somewhere how to see your progress toward an achivement.
I use the search engine without result. I figure that getting a little more junk on the general forum shouldn't bother to much people?

Can anyone explain me how to do???

I'm taking about achievement like the 'Appian Way' (construct 1000 road) or 'God is great' (construct 1000 temple)

I believe you have to enable the logging in one of the configuration files, I forgot which one or where to look but I'm sure you can find it.

Delete the file. It'll be regenerated with the new values. Be sure you're not running any mods as achievements can't be earned running mods...

I think he's talking about finding his progress towards a mod. eg 'Build 1000 mines', he wants to know how many mines he's built.

you only get achievement when playing log in to steam, if you set steam to play offline then no achievements.

You don't need debug enabled to make progress though. The achievement data itself is stored in a database file (on your machine). The achievements_debug file will just show you where you're up to; it gives you a peek inside the database file.

We'll soon be having the first of our monthly achievement challenges, with six achievements each month selected from a bunch created by CFC forum people (not arbitrary achievements on Steam created by someone at Firaxis). Watch out for ACE threads.

I'll try later on today, can't connect on Steam right now. Thanks.

This challenge is interesting. I'll look for it.

Edit \My Docs\My Games\SM Civ V\config.ini and set: LoggingEnabled = 1

Now the game will start updating this log file: \My Docs\My Games\SM Civ V\Logs\achievements_debug.log

That file contains a list of stats that track things like # roads built, # temples built, build counts for each unit, each wonder, etc.
This is how to see where your achievement levels stand.

I have turned on EventLogging and cleared the /Logs directory but achievements_debug.log does not appear.

Do I need to go earn another achievement for it to appear?

achievements_debug.log doesn't seem to get updated anymore since the 12/22 hotfix. No idea why.

Yes, I've noticed this too. Quite annoying. Have tried deleting achievements_debug.log, but it doesn't get recreated.

I tried this path, but there was no achievements_debug listed. "APP" was the first one listed.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Right place, but you need to enable it in config.ini first, then play a few turns

Notepad will work fine, but I personally would recommend notepad++, which can be downloaded from http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.1.3.html.

Open up the config.ini file in My Documents/My Games/CIV 5 and search for LoggingEnabled. Set it to 1, as DGMan pointed out earlier.
