Social groups aren't meant to be forums. They're for quick messages and a more chat like discussion.

I agree, it would be nice, but the vbtags work so you can quote what you're wanting to quote manually.

^If one social group was given its own forum, how many others would want their own forum?

This is doable if the admins were willing, but I suspect they would probably not be.
