Thanks

I updated the fort image, since i reworked it a bit.

Currently i am creating two ancient Greek forts, which might also be of use.

Here they are in building format, in case they can be used for civ2 icons, reduced considerably:

I had an idea for a great way we CIV2 people can use your lovely CIV3 buildings. As you perhaps know, there is far less pixel room in CIV2 for cities.

Why not create a pad file with single cottages and houses on them? This would allow we city designers to grab the "building blocks" easily.

If you created a file that had many small parts, this would be most useful, I am certain...

Sounds easy but it is tedious work in 3d, almost as much as extracting them in the old-fashioned 2d way

But i might release a few single buildings in that way.

The alternative is to render your cities at the CIV2 city size?

Maybe these two can be minimized to be used as city screen icons?

Hellenistic Architecture:

Byzantine Architecture:

Since fairline's Byanztine city set only had walls on two sides, I decided to tweak it a bit:

And here's the cities from my Sobieski scenario:

(A note on the Barb cities. In Sobieski, the barbs play two major roles: Danish invaders of Sweden (if the Scanian War is triggered) and renegade Cossacks in Ukraine. Trying to express this duality, I came up with the idea of having the barb cities be "Western" European on the left side of the river (as the city sets Curt had for this had a creek running through them) and "Russian" on the right side (to represent the Cossacks, who were mostly Orthodox and lived in the east.)
