Map request
Does anyone have a good and detailled map of Germany in normal size?
Not too big but also not too small. |

What about the one Techumseh built for Frederick the Great? Too big? Too Small? Just right?

(edit) The placement of forest and hills on the Gotterdamerung map is pretty random, so some research would be needed to improve the accuracy of the map. Otherwise, it looks fairly accurate (mountains, rivers and coastlines). My Frederick map is reasonably accurate for the period (less forests were cut down back then), so you could use that to give you a rough idea. |

Thanks guys.
Tecumeh´s map is too small. But I will have a look on the map which jim panse used in his scenario "Götterdämmerung". My idea is a campaign of the Napoleonic Wars where you can play as France, Prussia or one of the lower german states. |

I´ve found the map from "Götterdämmerung". It´s perfect. But as Tecumseh wrote, it has to rework (forests, hills, mountains, etc...).

I'm glad it fits for your scenario. One more point; if you decide to keep ocean terrain to represent major rivers, be sure to connect them with river terrain. Also consider how to keep ocean-going ships from entering the rivers - an unrealistic possibility.

Currently I don´t plan with naval units.
In case I´m trying to enable naval units I´ve blocked all river squares. So ships don´t have the possibility to enter river squares. The map is very good, I like the scale. Every settings (grasland, plains, forests, hills, etc...) are done, now I´m filling the map with cities and some terrain improvements like mining, roads and irrigations. All nations except one will be playable. There are three big and three small nations. All will get some special units. Main goal will be the domination of the german territory equal which nation you are playing. |
