Few Questions about PTW
I have a few questions regarding PTW....
1. What is PBEM and hotseat game? 2. When playing single player with mass regicide on, do i have to killl all AIs kings in order to win or i can play just like a normal game wnd win by any other 6 victory conditions. I played one game with mass regicide and capture the prioncess on , the game seem harder than the normal monarch game, the AIs manage to build many wonders in one city before i even have a chance to build it. Istanbul had three or four ancient wonders when i just have two wonders in two cities... when at war... they have sooo... many defenders especiallly in their core cities... usually i can send about 12 swordsmen or knight and crushed them, but Mecca had about 20 defenders... i gave up and stop playing... no more regicide! I was America, monarch, large map. medium pangea |

1: PBEM = "play by e-mail"
Hotset = multi-player mode with both human players playing on the same PC. 2: don't have ptw so not sure the answer but have heard that the ai does not handle regicide games to well. I would assume that you could win with other victory conditions if you chose them. the ai would have more denders in the cities in which their kings are located because they do not want to lose them. |

Regicide and Mass Regicide are switchable options, like Domination or Diplomatic victories. While I haven't done these yet, I would assume that turning on Regicide or Mass Regicide is just another way to win the game.
Again, as sealman stated, the AI doesn't know how to handle Regicide/Mass Regicide. Those option were put in for Mulitplayer more than SP. |

PTW
Yes, regicide is a victory option that can be switched on or off, if switched on you automatically receive the 'king' unit or a number of kings with mass regicide. I played regicide once and the AI defends the city with the king in it with a huge number of units. Then again, capture the king and ALL of the AI's cities fall and he's out of the game. The map then becomes more open and another settler rush begins!!
