Angry Scenarios Don't Work?

I've downloaded scenarios like 1650 by luiz and 1700 by Yoda Power, and I can't get either of them to work properly. The other ones already included in PTW work fine.

I set them up in the scenario folder just like you would with any other ones, and they simply don't work when I try to load them. The game freezes up, and that's it.

My question: how do I get them to WORK? Someone else must have had this problem at one time, and figured out how to fix it.

these two scenarios you mention are extreme big, on my computer the loading time is 30 mins, if you dont have a large computer these scenarios wont run. Its the one bad thing about civ3 scenarios.

BTW wrong forum.

First, I haven't given it 30 minutes...that's a very long time for a scenario. For example, I set the number of players on 1650 to ten nations, and it loaded in about a minute.

Secondly, I wasn't sure if this could be classified as a "technical problem" (and perhaps others that were trying to play scenarios had similar experiences, and would be better suited to answer my question)

Did you create a bix file with the exact same name as the folder file?

I think this is the forum for those kind of questions.

however, you might have more luck finding people with the same problems at the thread you downloaded the scenario from.

No, since it was just a scenario, there was no need for a folder.
