So I don't think Zulu deserves it to be in the game, I think there are civilizations that deserve it more than Zulu to be in the Game.

The Zulu are one of the two African nations I want to see ASAP for numerous reasons. They are hugely recognizable and had brilliant generals/leaders (Shaka Zulu) and were reasonably large. We don't have enough African nations as well and they had such a large military force that it is ridiculous that they aren't here already (as well as Carthage). And the Zulu weren't important? They were hugely influential for their time and did leave their mark on history, Shaka Zulu as noted in the first page or two is sometimes referred to as the Black Napoleon and with reason.

And if Zulu doesn't deserve to be in the game then who does in your eyes? We already have enough European Civs for now, why don't we add a little to Africa?

Morrocco is already a part of the Arabian Empire,maybe if they remove Fez,Tangier,Marrakech and Casablance from the city list.
Zanzibar is just too small to be a civilization.The Zanzibar Empire?

Zanzibar was in Civ Rev, there unique units can be the Belly Dancer and the Ballerina Bear.

Actually they were, along with Lidya, Phoenicia and something else, they just weren't playable or visible. Occasionally you will receive tribute from them in the form of performers, and that's what I was referencing with there unique unites.

Actually, Byzantines and Ottomans have been in past games together.
I want a good mix of civilizations from different areas of the world, I think Bts was a bit too Euro-centric.
Ethiopia, Kongo, and Zulu would add some sub-Saharan civs.
But if you add them, you would have to add Dutch and Portugal.
Then, to balance the game even more, I would add Majapahit, Maya, and Carthage.
Maybe the Byzantines can come later.
I also don't like Gandhi in the game as leader of India, I would prefer one of the ancient kings like Asoka.

I agree,Gandhi is in all civilization games I prefer Ahsoka,Chandragupta Maurya,Akbar or Shah Jahan.I find it annoying that he put him in Civ5.

indonesia is polynesians and i agree that gandhi should not be the indian leader but rather akbar the great (arguably the best of the mughal rulers). also i wouldnt really call carthage "african" they are more european/middle eastern

i'd rather not have gandhi as the leader of india all the time, either, but i can see why they do it, especially in this game. gandhi's probably the best known person to ever come out of india, so not too many people are going to be confused about him. plus he's known as the father of the nation.

fair enough, but that's like saying that the usa is european. they both started off as colonies, but they got a lot more powerful after breaking off.
