My first two submissions were accepted and I'm on VVV with 2 time entries, both as '+'s. My first goal to complete the VVV and get a '+' for every entry!

If it helps you only need one of each. The second doesn't like it does in IV.

No, the "+" just means you have at least one but no medal for that slot.

What does the "-" mean then?

"-" means at least one submission no medal but there are other games in the same table as one of your submissions.

"+" means at least one submission no medal and there are no other games in the same tables as your submissions.

I thought this first too but then I noticed in the VVV tables that some players have a "-" while stating they finished all the requirements.

That's what Ozbenno pointed out to me. I will have to investigate. Hopefully, it is a bug in the display and not the results.
