Stupid Question

I looked through all the FAQs, and tried searching, but came up with no answers.

In the info box in the bottom right corner, after a certain point in the game a little yellow dot appears in the top left corner. I used to know what it signified, but for the life of me I cannot remember anymore.

*wishes the Civ3 manual was easier to use and had useful information in it*

Yep, Global warming. The brighter it gets, the more chance of random terrain transformation. Apparently it can get red if you go nuke-happy, but I've never seen that.

The Red Zone is awesome. At least 20 tiles a turn degrade towards desert.

Speaking of global warming, why do automated workers ignore pollution for so long?

I never let things go superfund, but the AI is always behind in cleanup.

I have gone to the red-zone in a game where i went nuke happy.
It is funny when the AI loses it's tiles to GW, but then i lose some too.
