Clansmen, the Bloody Throne needs soldiers. Levy soldiers, by which the Emperor means give all non-maimed farmers and all mentally-capable children anything sharp and pointy. How many of such noble and disciplined warriors can we get?

As an act of protection for our brothers and sisters of the Faith, we will be sending financial, material, trade, protection, and military assistance to protect the Faithful, while trying to avoid the spread of bloodshed in Keltia. We will also be instituting a draft of Vahlshallahn males and females between the ages of eighteen and forty, with focused drafts on the members of the Red Faith and of the Martyr's and the Grey Faith. We will also be collecting tithes and donations, with rewards given back unto those who deliver the most tithes of the larger kind.

The guards knocked on his door. He was given a skull patch to sew onto every piece of clothing he owned. His wife and child were also given these skulls. He thought nothing of it as he and his wife sewed it onto every piece of clothing they owned.

The next day, the man attempted to leave the city of Vorgium to visit his nephew in Veneta. The soldiers turned him around at the gates after telling him that his kind would not be allowed to travel.

The next day, the man went to the market, only to find out that only the faithful merchants would sell him anything.

The day after that, the man became very suspicious and him and some of the other faithful in the city rioted. Half of them were killed and every single one holding a weapon was methodically killed as well. The man escaped with his life.

The very next day, he woke up to find a skull painted on the front wall of his house. When he attempted to clean it off, a bystander pushed the man out of the way and unhinged the man's jaw with a solid punch and a whisper of "You status should be shouted so loudly that denizens of the otherworld can hear it heathen."

The next day, a faithful woman was found laughing maniacally over the dead body of a once friend who was a follower of the druids. The man just barely lived outside of a mile of the murder scene. He was allowed to watch as all of the faithful living within a mile of the square were gathered into the square. They were charged with conspiring to kill the Druidic man dead in the middle of the square and then all of the Druidic people emptied out of the square. Arrows fell from the roof tops as all in the square were slaughtered.

The following night, after failing to get into Temple Hill, the man was sitting in a temple praying for the protection of Odane, but no answer came. Shouting and screaming began outside of the doors of the temple and the doors blew open as the Druidic mobs poured in. Odane was powerless in the lands of the Morrigan as the crowd fell upon him. The temple was destroyed and the mob disintegrated.

The next morning, the man's wife woke up to find that her husband wasn't beside her. She thought nothing about it until she heard the door thrown open to her home and people begin rummaging through her home. She picked up a club and ran down the stairs to see armored men. She dropped the club in shock as the soldiers turned around and killed her for wielding a weapon.

Spears and Lances

The king sat cross legged atop the stones of the Great Temple to the gods of the Faith, the tall statues casting shadows over him that were visible even with the howling tempests and cloud cover that gripped the Spire. The great and sprawling city, Torr's only home for the forty five years of his life, was brightly lit as the sound of war drums filled the air. The sounds of the Red Faith clashing with the Grey Faith in the streets could be heard, as the Martyrs and the Fanatics all were shouting into the sky, trying to grab the attention of the warriors who would soon be marching to protect the fellows in Faith over in the western parts of Keltia. Bells were ringing across the city in a cackling cacophony, the sound of madness and ushering in what some would feel as a new era; many people had been coming and going to the temple earlier in the day to pray to the Lark, bringer of Doom and the Speaker of the End of Times.

General Blackfang was beside of him, already ready for battle with the layers of armor that the soldiers of Vahlshallah wore. The sign of the star, with all the points on it stretching out on the black field of his chestplate, was visible to all, white and sharp. The general waited patiently while Torr meditated and peacefully sat there, until he called for him.

"General, how many troops will we be deploying to the west?"

"King Torr, that is not for me to decide, but for you to decide."

Torr sat in silence for several minutes before speaking up again. "How many soldiers do we have ready, old friend?"

"Forty thousand, approximitely half of which our spearmen and the rest our levies. That's only counting our troops right now, not counting the Duchy of Hamburg, Danyria, and Pommerania's troops. I assume you will want to leave a chunk of them here for defense purposes?"

"Of course. Leave the levies behind for the most part, and give the command to General Valen, and tell him to guard the borders of the Kingdom, as well as the vassals. We will be leaving most of the levies behind to guard our homes it seems, but still, fifty thousand boots will march into the west to protect the brothers and sisters of the Faith in Ostava."

"What do you want us to do once we are in the west? Stay at Nessos or advance?"

"That is a good question friend... but it seems like we cannot stay at Nessos and wait out what will happen; no, take the troops with the rest of the Iron Lances and march with others to protect the Faith. Beurtgang, Ostava, Kentus, all of the Faithful and the Believers, we must all take up arms."

"Of course sir... anything else?"

"Yes. Have some of the Red Faith members made into their own unit." The King looked down sadly at the city and spoke quietly. "Give them to the command of the Red Prophet. We will see what he can do."

Speaking out of character here, we'll send them peace first, and get them to be nice. If they insist on acting difficult, we'll slaughter them to the man and murder their children and make a pyramid of corpses, much like Genghis Khan did when he reached New Delhi. But before that, we might see how many they are willing to throw away before hand.

@ Tycho: Defeating a horde is never impossible (see Katan in the Eastern Seas against the Dorians), but should not be assumed out of hand like that. You may be the Rome to their Gauls, but then again you may be the Rome to their Germans.

EDIT: All VM's should be sent. If orders cannot be sent, I would expect to recieve excuses BEFORE the deadline to appeal to my limited mercy.
