Am I the only one who mistakes quote for edit?

Very often (probably the mods are getting annoyed with me at this point) I accidentally hit quote when I meant to edit the post. I never notice the quote tags around the first part and I add my part and post and realize it was an edit. I'm getting annoyed with myself.

Am I the only one who does this? I'm sure some of you will say to look closer. I try but it doesn't help.

Maybe if you move one to the other side it would happen less often. But then other people get mad because it's changing it for one dumb member and annoying all them.

The word "quote" does not resemble "edit".

You are the only person who I know to have found this a recurring issue. It does rarely happen to others, but not often enough to become a problem. The only helpful suggestion I can think of is to calm down and be slower in your navigation of CFC, and to read through your posts before you hit post.

Write a custom stylesheet and move it yourself.

I have this problem. It has to do with the locations of the buttons on your own posts. Or occasionally I will want to quote myself and accidentally edit.

I hit the wrong button about once a month. Last time it was hitting the edit button, instead of the quote button on someone else's post, and started to delete and add stuff before noticing. I managed to use use the back button to view, ctrl C, and then restore thier post after mangling it.

They are not actually, haven't been for years.

The cravat that allowed them was "Opt in only" and "Keep it positive"

I forgot to mention this. I use the Blue skin because the red/white one bothers my eyes and I dont like the others. I just switched to the default one and I notice the buttons there are different. So I thought to mention that.

The buttons are all still in the same place, EDIT still appears to the left where there was no button before. It is also quite easy to tell if you are editing your post or quoting it (since quoting it takes you to a new page, while editing it just opens up a text box in the post). The in-post edit thing might not be a default option, if so I recommend that you enable it.
