Quick question: is it possible to edit the game to begin in 2,000 BC?

Starting date is set in Assets\XML\GlobalDefines.xml, with the value

You can change that to -2000, but the game will then move on with the same amount of years/turn like before, so you'll reach the state where the game is only 1 year/turn way later than normal.
-> if you want to change this too, you'll have to edit the Assets\XML\GameInfo\GameSpeedInfo.xml to have 2000 years less (which would mean for standard speed, that you have instead of 75 turns with 480 months at the beginning only...er...25 turns with 480 months).

Oh, and NEVER edit the core files. Always create a mod!
(which means you go to BtS' mods folder, create there a new folder, and copy the mentioned files in the respective needed subfolders)
