Game for 17 - 20 players.
Main idea: most players would have a pair. In other words, most townies would be part of small mason groups (2 people in each). After death of one person from a pair, the second one would get some kind of ability.
Factrions in a game:
1. Townies. Associated roles:
a. ‘paired townie’: 7 or 8 pairs of townies; members of the same pair knows each other and knows that the other person is innocent. SPECIAL RULE (important!!!): player cannot say who is his pair, nor hint about it. If someone does, he would be WoG-ed, as it will spoil a game for others. People can try to learn what are other pairs, they just cannot talk about their own. You can tell whatever you want about dead characters (i. e. everyone can claim that they were their pair)
b. 'Lonely townie': no starting character is a lonely townie. Townie is upgraded to ‘lonely’ after death of his partner. Possible abilities gained by lonely townie (at random, but no ability can be given to more than 1 person):
i. One-shot vigilante
ii. Bodyguard – can protect, but if protected character is attacked, bodyguard dies
iii. Roleblocker – have ability to block another person. Two uses
iv. Lucky – first night attack against you only wounds you
v. Hideout – for one night you are immune to night kills. Two uses
vi. Double voter – has second, secret vote
vii. Taxi driver – has ability of a bus driver, usable twice
viii. Provoker – at night when you use it, ALL night actions are redirected at you
ix. Vengeful – at night after being lynched, you can choose one of characters voting for you to die
c. If needed at start of a game one character can gain a special role – ‘pair-less townie’: description of this role would also be special.
2. Mafia. Each night mafia will choose a target, and a person performing kill on that target (and PM me it). When there is only one mafia member alive, he is upgraded to ‘lonely mafia’. Lonely mafia automatically learns if his victim had a pair and who is it.
3. Third party. Possible, but not for 100%. Look for it!
