Realized a few things:
1. I need someone to play the Pope. It won't work well if I do it. (nutranurse?) If you want to play a game where you have influence over other nations' people...
2. The second wave of migrations and raiders (Vikings, Magyars, Arab pirates) will be in game via events staying at 800 (Update 2) should this change anything.

The Emirate of Cordoba welcomes our Muslim brothers, but are you Sunni or Shiite?

Byz can also influence; in this case, Orthodox. I recall putting it in the rules

Also,Mickzter, can I refer to your nation as Sultanate of Castille? Also,I do need to know which sect of Islam you are.

Erez,I will be putting you down as the Pope, should you wish to change that is fine.

Your influence on a country depends on the proportion of Catholics in said country.
You can pass doctrines, call crusades, excommunicate, basically everything a medieval pope did.

The Kingdom of Sicily recognizes that the Byzantines are the major Orthodox power in Europe. For that reason, we will listen to the church. However, we still believe the Byzantine Empire proved itself incapable of ruling over Sicily when the Muslims invaded, so we will keep a wary eye on you.

@SK: Yes, you may refer to our nation as Sultanate of Castile. And we are Sunni.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh to our brothers at the Emirate of Cordoba. May peace reign between our two nations.

Vandalic Sultanate of Carthage is good too.

The Military of the Vandals

Despite their exile in Sardinia, the military of the Vandals remains much the same as it did during the Vandalic Kingdom of Carthage. The core of the army remains the powerful Vandal cavalry, which have been bred and trained to be the pinnacle of light cavalry everywhere. They are fast and well trained, and their horses and bred for the endurance and speed necessary for their brutal raids through the Mediterranean coast, which frequently last for months at a time as they pillage their way along the coastline. These horsemen are composed of the best riders in the area, be they Sardinian, Vandal, Moors, or Berbers - being a Germanic tribe ruling over an Italian and Berber populace, the Vandals find it beneficial to be equal opportunity employers. Indeed, King Huneric does not distinguish between Vandal and Berber when he makes his selections - his interest is in keeping the Vandalic Sultanate strong against all comers. With their return to Africa, however, the Vandals have also begun recruiting other regiments from the Berbers. The Camel Phalanx has recently been employed into the Vandal armies, as have the lightly armoured infantry that are beloved by the Berber tribesmen in the interior.

However, the most powerful and renowned arm of the military of the Vandalic Sultanate of Carthage is the mighty galleys of the Vandalic fleet. Even during the inception of the Vandalic Kingdom under Geiseric, the Vandals were feared across the Mediterranean as vicious pirates and raiders, scourging the Meditteranean coast with their brutal raids and ranging as far as Greece. Indeed, during the height of the old Kingdom, the Vandals even began threatening as far off as Constantinople, those these fears were never realised. During their exile in Sardinia, the Vandals supported themselves by raiding up and down the Italian coastline, as well as occasionally pillaging the Caliphate's possessions in Iberia and North Africa. It was their fleet that was crucial in regaining Carthage, as it destroyed the fleets of the Warlord Coalition that assembled to defeat them outside the Harbour of Carthage. Now that they have the resources of Carthage at their disposal, the Dromons and galleys of the Vandal fleet are a sign of terror to the villagers of the Mediterranean coast.

Thanks, I like the map.
The dark green near Egypt is momo's former nation.
That map is not really accurate anyway, it was simply a base.

EDIT:I'll join now

Kingdom of Venice/SamSniped
Color- NAVY
Starting Location- I'll take the region that Venice starts in on Italy in EU3 and a bit of the surrounding area. Capital is Eraclea.
Gov't/Religion- Despotic Monarchy/Christianity
History- (From Wikipedia) "The city of Venice originated as a collection of lagoon communities banded together for mutual defence from the Lombards, Huns and other invading peoples as the power of the Western Roman Empire dwindled in northern Italy. At some point in the first decades of the eighth century, the people of the lagoon elected their first leader Ursus (or Orso Ipato), who was confirmed by Byzantium and given the titles of hypatus and dux. He was the first historical Doge of Venice. Tradition, however, first attested in the early 11th century, states that the Venetians first proclaimed one Anafestus Paulicius duke in 697, though this story dates to no earlier than the chronicle of John the Deacon. Whichever the case, the first doges had their power base in Heraclea."

Novgorod/Popcornlord
Color: Light Brown
Starting Location: Veliky Novgorod and lands to the west
Gov't/Religion: Monarchy/Pagan w/ Christian Minority
History- Novgorod is a young and fairly small city in the wilds of western Russia. With the rise of a new monarchy, Novgorod is just now beginning to centralize and expand, often through military might. Novgorod's true strength, however, lies in its position. Goods such as furs, slaves, and wax were traded between the (Eastern) Roman Empire and Scandinavia, making stops at Novgorod and traveling through the few lands the city state has conquered.
