Quick questions

This seems like a great mod. I have a few little questions:

Is there a better place to ask "Quick questions"? I guess such a thread would be stickied here, but thought I would ask.
Is the conquistador event still in it? Has triggering it changed?
Is there a reference for spawn dates and things available?

Thanks

Yes, it's still in it, I have no clue about whether it's changed or not.
The in-game civilopedia shows you the spawn dates and everything else you want to know.

I think the main mod thread is the best place to post this kind of questions.

The American conqueror events haven't been changed much, the only change for the player is that you're automatically at war with the targeted Indian civ. I've also modified the AI to be more effective at capturing them.

And as already said, the ingame civilopedia contains all crucial information. Especially the concepts section mentions some of the more unusual changes.

when you say you improved the conqueror AI, is that the ATTACK_LEMMING thing?
edit: sorry, you were trying to steer this back to the main thread.

No problem, now that the thread already exists. Yeah, city_attack_lemming, and also a proper war plan.

No, civics are still not finalized so I think it's better to wait for release instead of constantly changing the documentation.

Any specific changes? I think the current civic choices are already varied enough.

The RoM civics are extremely detailed and complex, it fits the kitchen-sink goal of the mod very well, for better or worse. I'd encourage everyone to check it out for themselves, if not for any other reason than to awe at why anyone really likes something that confusing

Memory

As soon as I reach say 1650 CE, my PC starts to slow down dramatically. What can I do to change this? The game always crashes and the error message is always to do with memory allocation: so how do I allocate more memory? I have loads of room left on the hard drive. Thanks

You can use part of your hard drive as sort of memory, see http://kb.iu.edu/data/ahbb.html (the usual default would be to set it at the same as your actual memory, but if you have loads of hard disk you could make it larger).

If you are using this though the game will get VERY slow. How much memory do you have (this is not hard disk space)? Also relavent is what is your OS (probably one of windows XP or 7).

Yes, there's a PDF file with details of each civ is the final RFC release and DoC 1.9. Can anyone remember the original author? Google doesn't seem to know.

Spoiler:
I thought <Orang Laut site:civfanatics.com filetype:pdf> would work but no joy.

I'm the original author. Also, I have a second version which corrects some mistakes. It's available here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showth...2#post11717512.
