Unless you were specifically adapting things like the 100 Years War, Crusades, so in so's invasion of whatever... specific events. Obviously a possibility, but something of a European scale can be accounted for already with the presently constituted civs. Scenarios specific to Hungary or Poland would be a reach.
I don't think there will be a scenario between "Fall of Rome" and "Into the Rennaisance",because this period of time isn't so interesting to represent . What do I see for future dlcs for representing the last European Civs are a Portugal/Kongo dlc and a Poland/Hungary dlc, with their respective scenarios . After that,I just hope they forget to add new European Civs until Civ7 at least .

Sverige! Sverige! Sverige!
Thanks 2k Greg!
Gretings from Norway!

PS: Scandinavia is a bit overrepresented in this game.

Three civs, I would say, what is this, a fetish? But two civs, that's fine. Having Denmark and no Sweden is like England and no...everybody. It's like having China and no Korea, there you go.

Using great people to enhance diplomacy sounds promising. I hope the bonus will work on great people generated by other civs. But it would be a balancing issue because there will be a lot of great people in the game by everyone.

The marching unit? Mew. The other unit? I hope a really unique way of interacting with a GG.

Jag älskar Sverige being in the game!

Gustavus Adolphus is the obvious choice. Now someone needs to mod Wallenstein in.

Sweden? Oh well, nothing similar of what it reminded me of. Not bad though.

I've been wondering this too, I'd bet he will sound royal, or have a mälaredalen dialect, like Stockholmish (just without those annoying lower class e's and those equally annoying upper class östermalm i's).

It'd be disastrous if he spoke with another dialect (though, admittedly, It'd be kind of funny if he spoke Gothenburgish or Norrlandish, dialects at the very bottom of the "snobbish royality"-scale).

Instead of Brazil they can do Gran Colombia with Simon Bolivar as the leader.

Yes, I agree they should have some offensive bonus instead. They were disciplined troops and relied on shock tactics, firing at point blank range and charging in with swords and bayonets.

Devs may have added the long march for balance reasons, or the troops that marched for Poltava had no supplies, and thus were weak. After all they were faced with scorched earth. Probably these troops could march a great distance if supplied properly. Cossacks always disrupted enemy supply routes.

I have the book right here. It says that Carl Gustaf Rehnskiöld, a field marshall, kept marching his army South. They describe Russia as pretty much like a frozen desert. The Swedish army had no supplies, Charles was searching for supplies and trying to find a base of operations. It is no wonder his troops were in a bad way, costing him the battle. He was the king that founded Gothenburg, so it could be a dialectal homage in this regard

To all Swedes out there. Firaxis should hire Fredrik Lindström to do the dialectal research of how Gustav II Adolf spoke!

Håller med, dialektsmysterier ftw!
And they should have Max von Sydow as a voice actor

All those Swedes look the same
I just like to think that Gustav didn't always keep his immaculately trimmed facial hair and occasionally let it grow out. But Erik does seem to be an influence for their leader art, I agree. Still, Gustav is the only logical choice for a Swedish leader.

BTW, with the addition of Sweden, I'm just thinking of the number of Germanic languages:
German (northern accent)
German (southern accent)
Danish
Swedish
Dutch
English (RP accent)
English (Virginian accent)

I like Denmark because I can vaguely tell what he's talking about (even if I can't speak a word of Danish). I think the Dutch will be the same way. I don't think I've really heard Swedish before, so that'll be interesting too.

An English, Standard swedish and Gothenburgish lexicon, maybe you have to understand swedish to see how funny it would be to have a king speak gothenburgish
