Piety Finisher will give +3 gold and _3 culture bonus to the Holy Site.
Landmarks do not get improved bu a tech, but culture stays stronger throughout the game. And Civil Service is too early to have such a bonus.

Assuming none of those have already some research points in them.

This should really kill off early swordsman rushes.
Horse Back Riding comes much later too, so this seems like a logical change.

Seems like a BIG leap you can make with the GL from Optics to Compass. If something does come in before that, a GL jump from Bronze to Iron working looks pretty good.

Even with those tweaks, the Classical Age is still looking a little slim for my tastes. :/

Still, an improvement from what it was.

I'm pleased that they moved the Great Lighthouse from Sailing to Optics (where I think it was originally). Just silly to be able to build a Great Lighthouse but not a regular one.

Alhambra replaces Himeji Castle in Chivarly; I'm betting Himeji has been moved to Steel. As much as bushido is a honor-based warrior code, it really doesn't bear any resemblance to "chivalry."

The unknown ability in Civil Service may be the Research Agreement (which is no longer in Philosophy).

RA has been moved to Education. Confirmed with screenshot.

The Research Agreement would seem to sit with Education (please look at post #23 in this thread; I've posted a screenshot).

Thanks. I saw that, then promptly forgot about it.

I have added in the rest of the tech tree, along with the few techs we've seen details of. Again, the positions of the techs in the gray area are not known.

In the 1UP video he stole Chivalry, and Navigation, Banking, Metal Crafting and Machienery became available. I'm not sure what ones required Chivalry though

Yeah, that doesn't help much with prerequisites, but it does show how Machinery has changed (Armory is gone). Thanks.

The GameInformer article (Magazine) also shows a change in railroad, there's a blue icon there. I would post a pic, but I've been advised by the staff against it for legal reasons.

Combined Arms : I think it is a safe bet to tie aircraft carrier & paradropers into it.

We don't know anything about it yet, except that it's post-gunpowder. I would guess that it's between Renaissance and Industrial, but that's speculation.

There might not be a point in going all the way until the end we know more about the other era.

It's hard to say, but if they want to extend the post-Renaissance game with additional stuff, like the new ideology-related diplomacy mechanics, then they might put in the new era after the Industrial Era.

That makes even more sense given that the Classical Era is now extended somewhat and is longer, which extends the early game somewhat.

Dennis Shirk said something about there is a new era but it's not Great War era / or he said it's not called that, something around those lines.

I think the new era is between Renaissance and Industrial, so when thinking about it from military point of view, it will be like:

Renaisance: musketman, lancer, cannon, frigate, privateer

New Era: rifleman, cavalry, gatling gun, ironclad

Industrial: world war I infantry, machine gun, artillery, early tank, biplane fighter and -bomber, destroyer, battleship, submarine

Modern: "ww2 infantry" (the new yank g.i. graphics), marines, tanks, fighters, bombers

Maybe the "WW2 units" will start to appear near the end of Industrial era, and the Modern Armors and Mech. Infs start to appear near the end of Modern era.

I labeled the "WWI" units for clarity; the names have changed a few times (WWI Bomber, Great War Bomber). The tank was "Landship" in some previous screenshots, but the Smoky Skies steam-tanks that were being called "Tractor Tanks" are now being called "Landships," so I'm not sure the WWI tank is still being called that. Whether it's technically accurate or not, it should be clear what I mean by "WWI Tank," "WWI Fighter" etc.
