After careful consideration, Germany will destroy all armed planes in the next five years. We will obey the Treaty of Versailles. We apologize for the inconvenience , Adolf found a bottle of Whiskey.

This declaration is a commitment by the signatories to enforce more stringently measure which have already been put in place at Versailles. We hope that you see that German remilitarization is a threat. We however will not hold it against you, our dearest and most trusted ally, if you do not wish to sign this declaration.
Under further deliberation in Parliament, the King is not in any way regretting to inform you your last statement is as of now inaccurate. Your sudden change in foreign policy, namely provoking the rest of Europe to an belligerent, jingoist anti-Germany bloc is doing anything but securing peace. The Great War is over, and it should remain in the past as the harrowing tale it is. We should not rekindle the ashes.

Due to this, we are annuling the Entente cordiale. Goodbye, France.

Wow King George has certainly gone crazy, he clearly needs to be admitted into a mental hospital.

Do we really need to address the idea of French cowardice as legitimate?

And now for something completely different. Short, and rather lacking in description/time put in, but different.
New rifle developed for US military
With the M1903 Springfield out of date, and new gas-operated chambering systems being developed, Springfield Armory has officially announced the production of the United States Rifle, Caliber .30, M1-also known as the M1 Garand, after its inventor John Garand-for the United States Army. The M1 Garand is a semi-automatic rifle, with a gas operated system, 8-round clip feed, and fires the .30-06 Springfield cartridge. The main features that were improved over the 1903 were the chambering system, penetration, and fire rate, allowing easier fighting and a great advantage over many enemies.

We fail to see how enforcing a treaty is belligerent in any way, but Britain reserves the right to have its opinion. We do hope you reconsider your sudden actions.

From the Republic of China
To the Empire of Japan

The Nationalist Government of Chiang Kai-Shek would be interested in signing a non-aggression pact, with the stipulation that it may be broken at any time by either nation provided that advance warning of one year is given. If there is anything you wish to discuss, feel free to send messages through private diplomatic channels (OOC: In other words, PM).

Well, troops only cost money in maintenance costs. If you want Regulars, put out ads or something like that, or promote Conscripts, but it usually doesn't get you as many troops as when you conscript. You can get as many Conscripts as you like, but your population will resent you for it if you don't have a good reason for it. As I said before, maintinance costs varies, but it will cost $1/turn for every 1000 soldiers, 1 boat, or 2 airplanes as a base cost.

Umm... aren't we supposed to be playing somewhat in context? I can see the Soviets declining the non-aggression pact, maybe even threatening them to continue with the Treaty of Versailles (Stalin did know that Germany was hostile to them), but I don't think that Britain would be breaking the alliance with France at this point.

Anyway, when will we get a list of costs, METY?
Edit: Never mind.

Albert Meyer extends his thanks to Adolf Hitler on behalf of Swizterland. Nonetheless, two brigades (4,000 men) from the south are deployed to the north, to be stationed there for five years, the length of time the Luftwaffe will remain in service.

To avoid accusations of aggression, the brigades are unequipped for offensive capability. They are only capable of defensive warfare for the moment. Meanwhile, to make sure Switzerland's skies remain safe for the five years until German disarmament, Switzerland looks to purchase 10 fighters from any nation. The President awaits offers.

You're not clear about those orders- are you moving 4000 of your existing men, or drafting 4000 men?
