Regicide and Nuc Attacks

Has anyone tried to knock out an enemy ruler by nuclear strike? I'm guessing this would work unless the rules for the leader unit have been tweaked somehow.

It might take more than one nuc, but with 2 or 3 you seem sure to take him out. Talk about decapitation.

Well the solution is to be careful of where you stick your kings during the modern ages. A good idea may be to find some place away from your major cities to hide them away. Maybe out in the open with some other units as camaflouge.

For me this would work well, as during the modern ages when I start getting massive stacks of units I assemble and store them out in the open between the cities.

Seems to be that the regicide game would be over by the modern age

find a spot 2 or 3 tiles in radius from all cities, but as deep in as you can go, and fortify him there. Then when the other players nuke your cities they'll never hit him!

I'm just an incredible poster. You name a topic, I have an opinion on it. Need confusing and unclear one-liners? I'm your man.

Well, then you would have to arrange several of these stacks, or else the other players would know where to send their nukes...

Wow... Cold War flashback!

Then we'd have to build more ICBMs in order to target all of those stacks... and then more ICBMs in order to target all of those stacks at least 3 times in order to ensure a kill... and more ICBMs in order to overcome his Star Wars defense...

Those are good defensive strategies... and make your interior mountain ranges good for bunkers.

I'd love to hear if anyone has accomplished a win by Nuclear War. Nuclear war without Regicide gets ugly. I've never come close myself.

What if they steal your troop positions and find out where your king is?
