Norwegian Football league thread

Yes the norwegian football league is up and going again, so lets make this thread the largest in the forum. MK is playing against IKStart in the 1 division today.

What is your favorite team, who do you think will win the league, who is your favorite player etc. This is the place to discuss it!

Forza Start!

wow this was a big success... However the results were:
Rosenborg - VIF 1-0
Viking - Bryne 3-0
Aalesund - Tromsø 2-3
Odd - Molde 1-0
Lillestrøm - Bodø/Glimt 1-0
Sogndal - Stabæk 2-1

In other words Viking is at the top of the league.

Start lost 1-0 against MK

Tonights game: Lyn - Brann. Opinions?

Although my knowledge of the Norwegian league is somewhat limited , I think it's safe to predict that Rosenborg will grab the title as they seem to have been dominating the Norwegian league for years already.

Didn't Viking (Stavanger, I believe it is?) beat Chelsea in the Uefa cup this season? Maybe they can be this season's surprise package...

I thought Rosenborg was the entire Norwegian league?

I have no knowledge whatsoever about this league, but if I had to guess I'd say Rosenborg will take the title...

Chelsea lose to any scandavian team that they play so it isn't much of an achievement. Well actually they just seem to lose against any small team...

Damn aren't there any norwegians in this forum?

You're right Kemal, Viking from Stavanger beat Chelsea. They are rated among the favorites for second place. Rosenborg are HUGE HUGE favorites. They have won the league now 10 times in a row or somrthing like that. It's a little boring when the same team always wins.

Only if you're not a fan of that team...

Yesterday Lyn played against Brann, the results were 0-0.
Brann was the best team but didn't manage to put the winning goal. The table looks like this:

Viking 1 3-0 3
Tromsø 1 3-2 3
Sogndal 1 2-1 3
Lillestrøm 1 1-0 3
Odd 1 1-0 3
Rosenborg 1 1-0 3
Brann 1 0-0 1
Lyn 1 0-0 1
Aalesund 1 2-3 0
Stabæk 1 1-2 0
Bodø/Glimt 1 0-1 0
Molde 1 0-1 0
Vålerenga 1 0-1 0
Bryne 1 0-3 0

the first number means matches played, the second is goals scored, the third is goals others has scored against the team, and the last number is points.

I will do this often and maybe this thread will be popular and you will all become interested i Norwegian football and I will become a HERO

Yes this evening it's Norwegian football again! Six matches full of tension, excitement and surprises, but most of all: great football.
Tonights matches are:
Bodø/Glimt - Lyn
Molde - Lillestrøm
Tromsø - Viking
Bryne - Sogndal
Stabæk - Odd
Vålerenga - Aalesund

The top match is between Tromsø and Viking, number 1 and two on the tables after one round. I think Viking will win.
Rosenborg - Brann is played tomorrow.

My favorite team Start is playing against Sandefjord in the 1. division. Sandefjord is the big favorite in the 1. division.

really disappointing... No Norwegians? or at least no football-interested Norwegians. Nevertheless, here are the results:

Brann-Rosenborg 1-6 (!)
Bodø/Glimt-Lyn 3-2
Bryne-Sogndal 0-1
Molde-Lillestrøm 4-0
Stabæk-Odd 4-1
Tromsø-Viking 2-2
Vålerenga-Aalesund 3-1

Rosenborg on top form at the moment. The tables look like this:
Rosenborg 2 7-1 6
Sogndal 2 3-1 6
Viking 2 5-2 4
Tromsø 2 5-4 4
Molde 2 4-1 3
Stabæk 2 5-3 3
Vålerenga 2 3-2 3
Bodø/Glimt 2 3-3 3
Odd Grenland 2 2-4 3
Lillestrøm 2 1-4 3
Lyn 2 2-3 1
Brann 2 1-6 1
Aalesund 2 3-6 0
Bryne 2 0-4 0

The surprise here is that Sogndal is at second place, Sogndal is a team that use to end up in ca. 10th place.

Start smashed Sandefjord 4-2 in the first division, so i am happy

Well done Start! Are Sogndal going to be near the top of table at the end of the season though?

I like Sogndal best, cuz I had my vacation there some years ago Rosenborg should be able to win the title though. If you want you can loan Bergdolmo

OK yesterday it was football time again in Norway. Here are the results:
Sogndal - Tromsø 3-1
Bodø/Glimt - Molde 2-0
Lillestrøm - Stabæk 0-2
Aalesund - Brann 3-3
Odd - Bryne 3-2
Viking - Vålerenga 2-0

Quite surprising result in Bodø, where last years number 2 lost against one of the favorites for relegation.

Tonight is a big game, where last years number 3 and 1, Lyn and Rosenborg, is playing on Norways National Stadium: Ullevaal in Oslo. I will wait with the tables till then.

Tonight Start is playing against another of the favorites in 1. division: Strømsgodset. I am very excited.

Lyn - Rosenborg 0-3

Rosenborg is in the lead. Tables:

Rosenborg 3 10-1 9
Sogndal 3 6-2 9
Viking 3 7-2 7
Stabæk 3 7-3 6
Glimt 3 5-3 6
Odd 3 5-6 6
Tromsø 3 6-7 4
Molde 3 4-3 3
Vålerenga 3 3-4 3
Lillestrøm 3 1-6 3
Brann 3 4-9 2
Aalesund 3 6-9 1
Lyn 3 2-6 1
Bryne 3 2-7 0

Rosenborg and Sogndal is the only teams with 3 victories. Bryne is not on top form at the moment, and they have to start winning.

Strømsgodset - Start was cancelled because of snow(!) The match is to be playd on thursday.

That's not really surprising...
I've got the feeling they'll win the league again this year...

I hate Norwegian football. Norway is the worst/most boring team in the world...
