Hi, I have a scenario request, and I'm hoping this is the right place to put it. I will be exploring how to achieve this scenario myself, but if anyone has done it, planned on doing it, or has any tips to do it easily, let me know.
Post-Space Race Scenario (No, not the game!) You have won the space race - or so it seemed. As the distant star system loomed closer, two things became clear. One, that it would be a struggle to control the planet.. and Two, that you were not going to be alone in your attempt. They had caught up. Perhaps they had plotted a better route, or made clever use of the gravity well of one of the gas giants. But they have somehow gained enough of a speed increase so that even though we launched first, we will touch down at nearly the same time. What was once certain is now in doubt. The only answer can be to rule the world you are about to land on. Rules Fairly simple. All technologies researched. No great wonders are buildable; only small wonders. (This may mean no nuclear weapons, since there would be no Manhattan Project.) But as usual, the game starts with a single settler, single worker and a Scout if your civ is expansionist. Why the heck do you want this? It's a watered down version of Civ! Well every so often i'd like to play a game starting with ALL the stuff available for building and having a huge war with all the trimmings. Sometimes I don't want to have to start from scratch and tech up, I just want to have a bloody conflict. Oh, there will civ imbalances i'm sure. For instance, the Scientific trait would be wholly worthless, and non-religious civs will have problems early on. It could do with a bit more tweaking I guess ![]() Comments? Flames? |

In PTW, there's a scenario that comes with the game, that allows you to start at the begining of any age. If you start in the Future Age, then you get everything...
